Having been inspired by the excellent posts regarding loose leaf tea and having never had it before I've bought the following and await instruction;

A fancy new teapot
Loose Leaf Tea (i bought English breakfast tea as its my favourite of the bagged variety)
A tea strainer

wtf do i do now!?  The packet says leave in for 3 - 5 mins but doesn't say how much i should put in...

guidance required!

That Tea-pot IS china, I assume? Stainless-steel is no good.

You got a caddy - a proper tea-caddy?

Do you have patience? It MUST draw/brew/set.*

* Differs geographically.
