What are these, and why does every square yard of my field suddenly have 3 or 4 of them? They are about the size of a 2p piece.

I have loads like that in my lawn Tom. Fecking squirrels burying nuts that Joo leaves out for the birds. Then either them or a regular Magpie visitor digs them up leaving the bleeding holes.
