MrsB said that an offer just finished so she expects nothing to come up for at least 6 weeks or so.
Had a look on ebay and even there the second hand HD boxes go for approx £60-£70 so, unless you can ask the girls to wait a while and hope for a new offer in a month or two, the £99 for a new one isn't too bad.

Haven't listened to the program yet but thought you might find it interesting;

Another story on the Beeb website about Roma in Hungary...seems they are giving it quite a bit of attention today.

Discussion about MBFGW on BBC Breakfast this morning.

Distinct lack of capital G in the summary underneath. Can't have everything, I guess - it was a pretty sympathetic interview generally.

Also quite funny that he was a Gyspy elder....they didn't put a lot of effort in to it, did they?

Thank you very much for the links guys. I really do appreciate it.
Billy Welch did a reasonable job imho, considering the constraints he was working under.
He did manage to point out that, as yet, there have been no actual Gypsy weddings, only Irish Traveller ones, and also that he at least, hadn't witnessed any "Grabbing"
I think tonight's show will include a Gypsy wedding (Violet Ann) which my family and I were present at. I hope they show an accurate representation of it.

I went to Oxford today, and on the way back, my daughter Sadie persuaded me to make a small detour via Bicester to something called a "Retail Village"
Wow! WTF?
Mid afternoon on a Thursday, 2000 parking spaces, everyone full.
Shops with music (For want of a better word) blaring. Crowds jostling in dimly lit "Designer" outlets to buy ripped jeans costing, no wait, "Reduced to" £850.
I thought I had died and gone to hell.
It's funny. As I get older and my eyes grow weaker, I see things more clearly. As my ears become less sensitive, noise bothers me more.

Well Tom I so sympathize with you on the shopping detour.
We too went to one yesterday, I truly detest any form of shopping but have reached the point that I desperately needed to top up on some items. I lasted short of 5 mins before the silly load music blaring out not only in the shops but in the outdoor area got me into a right old fool syndrome mood, then lasted short of one hour before I got shopping bag rage. Jeez I was well up my tree. Waste of time and petrol I just had to go home.
