Also why does he say "gipsy" isn't that doubly wrong?

Actually I have seen it spelled Gipsy.
Wikipedia says..
Gypsy
Further information: Gypsy
The English term Gypsy (or Gipsy) originates from the Greek word for "Egyptian", Αιγύπτιοι (Aigyptioi, whence modern Greek γύφτοι gifti), in the belief that the Romanies, or some other Gypsy groups (such as the Balkan Egyptians), originated in Egypt, and in one narrative were exiled as punishment for allegedly harbouring the infant Jesus.[27] This exonym is sometimes written with capital letter, to show that it designates an ethnic group.

Hi Tom
What is the relationship (if any) between Gypsies and Irish Travellers. I have noticed a few times Gypsies distancing themselves from portrayal of the Irish Travellers, as referred a few posts back in your diary the comment from Jake Bowers. Is there any interraction between the two groups? Will council sites have a mix from both communities?
Just trying to get a better understanding
Thanks
Russ

It's exactly like any other two ethnic groups imo. They don't usually mix, or share the same site, but that is by no means a hard and fast rule. As with all communities, there are many exceptions, interaction and mixed marriages.

This is from the Jake Bowers column linked :
"Blurring the difference between Irish travellers and Romanies is as useful as confusing Dublin with Delhi".

It's bloody torture when I'm playing poker TBH Baz. There is always some fekker at the table eating something that smells nice, and let's face it, when you're on a diet, everything smells nice.
I wouldn't mind if the buggers would all eat at the same time, but no. I have to watch some fat bastard slowly munch his way through a cheeseburger and chips, then as soon as he has licked the last bit if ketchup from his greasy fingers, the next one starts.
Sometimes, just to torment me a bit more, they leave a few chips on the plate, right where I can reach them. (Unless it's Mitch of course. It's a miracle if he leaves the plate)

Actually, to save me from having to think about what to write, I do jot down snatches of what the speakers are saying, and after doing that for a few weeks, I've realised that one particular phrase crops up time after time.
"Let me be absolutely clear...."
The thing is, on every occasion without fail, the bit that comes immediately after they say it never makes one iota of sense.
Very similar to the phrase:
"I'm not racist, but...."
inevitably followed by a racist and bigoted comment.

Depends on the type of forum, surely?
I'm guessing that the British defense league's forum is full of people who don't like people from Italy.
And I'm guessing that a "Isn't this stuff retarded?" forum won't have a problem with people saying "tard", on a family forum it might however not be allowed.
There is never a line for jokes/comedy IMO, as long as it's geniunely funny and not mean spirited there should be no subject out of bounds. But for everything there is a time and place.
