No, it's related to living fish. net to stop a heron feeding on the fish in his pond? Close enough - you win a pint  . It's for a heron deterrent. The plan is for two lines to go round the edge of the pond at about 20cm and 30cm high and they deter the heron from walking to the pond edge to feed on the fish. Apparently, herons don't like to land in the pond itself, and instead land close-by and then walk the rest. We've had a heron in the garden twice over the past week, and would prefer it if the fish stay in the pond rather than become its dinner. Magnificent birds though. It must have been a similar size to this one, and would have tackled all dozen of the fish in the pond in a matter of seconds.  |
