Today's pic from my bike ride is of some cows. I've noticed this particular breed several times over the years and I've always been quite take by their 'Cut & Shut' colour scheme. Is it, I wonder, coincidental, just a by-product of selective breeding for milk yield, or was it planned, and if so, for what reason? They're belted galloways as Geo says Red, originally from up near me. Very good beef cattle & very decorative as well.
