Ladbrokes usually run a €190 + €10, €30k guaranteed MTT on a Sunday afternoon. I don't usually play it because I'm not really rolled for that level of buy in, but, I've been running good online lately so I thought I would treat myself.
When I looked for the comp in Laddies lobby, I was disappointed to see that it had been bumped in favour of a €300 + €20, €200,000 guaranteed comp starting at 7pm.
Then I noticed that there was a €50 + €5 super satellite, 5 seats gteed, 3k starting chips, 15 min clock, 30min extended registration.
Great, but the thing was, this comp started at 4pm, only 3 hours before the main comp. I was convinced that the satellite wouldn't finish in time so I rang laddies to query it.
A poker manager assured me that it always finishes before the main game starts. Fair enough, I entered.
With 5 minutes to go we had to lose 3 players, and with one minute to go, we still had to lose one player.
He busted, and the rest of us started the main like, 30 seconds later.
Thoughts.... ?
Win it.

I would have gone ape-shit if they had gone to a chip-count without warning me first, especially as I went to the trouble of ringing them before hand. I don't play for the biggest stack in satellites.
In fairness to them, it did finish in time, just, but how could they know?

Stars run sattys that dump you straight into late registration in the main comp all of the time.

I know this looks like a snap taken through a net curtain of someone having a slash in a car park, but it's not.
Guess who.

Ralph even gave you a clue! Sigh indeed. I thought AndrewT was one of the brighter ones round here. Illusions shattered in a snap.

Think he might have been levelling, Dawn.......I'm a lot younger than Mr Neville, for starters.

Jack saw the photo and thought it was Vinny. Still shaking my head over that one.
