Maggot racing for the win. Put em under your tongue to warm em up to wriggle faster.
Apparently it´s the enzymes in your saliva starting to digest them that make them wriggle more, rather than the warmth.
So glad this diary is back, one of the best things on the internet I reckon. We won´t have to worry about the "the forum is dying" while we have Vagueness and the Aftermath.

Love lying in bed when it's throwing it down outside, and doing something relaxing.
As the quote that is often falsely attributed to Bertrand Russell says:
"The time you enjoy wasting isn't wasted time."
I like:
"Time spent reading in bed is not deducted from your allotted span."
Does that 'allotted span' refer to the time you get in bed, or the time for reading?
It refers to the total life time allotted to you by God.
He is wise and merciful. Praise be to Allah.

hmm not sure if I would agree as spitting on cold maggots does not make em wriggle faster. Always fridge maggots to stop them wriggling and sweating up.
You can get irritants to make worms wriggle more for sure so I would not dismiss it totally.

Blow cigarette smoke on worms for fishing and I promise you'll catch more fish. Might think I'm mad, but I've caught Irish fisherman out proving my theory so give it a go.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Bet you'll give it a go on yer next fishing trip. Hook the worms, then blow the smoke on em. No need to thank me.

It's a great little bit of kit Tom.
Will you be able to convert it into a Mr Whippy van during the summer months should any occur?
There may not be sunny months, but there will be summer months Ralph. I promise.
The reason I asked is because I reckon you could clean up on the tips for tikay thread.
They absolutely love ice creams over there.

Could be wrong, but reckon he thinks there's lot of silly bets being made. He should see my laddies account.
