She wasn't my lass when she got it. I just allow her to keep it. I'm good like that Smiley

You do know she blows smoke on worms right?

To be fair, it could be worse.

It had been a year and a bit.  Then our trip to America along in October.  Currently two weeks.

I'd still happily blow a worm.

I was listening to some bint on Radio 4 pontificating about how it's immoral for accounting firms to find ways for multi-national corporations to legally avoid paying tax.

She said they should be named and shamed.

IMO it would be immoral if an accounting firm didn't find ways for it's employer to legally avoid paying tax.

What does she want them to do, take their fee and then give bad financial advice so that the Chancellor gets a bigger slice of the pie?

It's all there own fault anyway. Why does the system have to be so complicated? My daughter works 5 days a week for a fixed wage. Neither she, her employer, or the Inland Revenue man can seem work out how much tax she should be paying.

Ah yes, Urban Dictionary. The thinking man's guide to the English language.

Just for curiosity, I looked your profession up.

Probably not.

It doesn't owe me too much because I did the work myself. Besides that, once they are a few years old and have had their initial blew, they hold their value pretty well, so it won't really cost me anything to keep it for a while, and we do enjoy it so.

We're thinking of taking it abroad for a few weeks next year, it will save us a quite a bit in hotel bills, car hire etc.

Ha, owned again.

As it happens, definition # 2 is probably spot on.

Somebody who doesn't know anything

Anyone who has ever commentated on poker qualifies for that. Apparently.

Seriously though, I do think the modern usage of "bint" is deemed seriously derogatory.  Somehow, "bint" & our beloved "Radio 4" do not belong in the same sentence.

Good! I was hoping you might keep it. You & Mrs Red will have such wonderful times in that.

Do you recall that holiday when you both went to (Canary Isles?) & hired a motorbike? LOVED those photos.
