Bird photos? Leave it to me, I'm on the case.

PS - Good news for detractors of my photos. My car got broken into on Monday, & they nicked my beloved camera, amongst other things.

Groan.

Broken in to? Come on tell them the truth........

Or has it been done again?

Ha, busted!

Well let us call it "unauthorised entry".

Truth is, there was no sign of forced entry, so it sort of suggests I left it unlocked, something I never ever do. I believe it auto-locks itself, too, if left unlocked.

I mean, what are you suggesting - that I FORGOT to lock it?

Think about it Matt, would that really be in character, for me to forget? Impossible.

Case resteded.

That reminds me of an old drinking acquaintance of mine called Irv who is sadly no longer around. Irv was a retired lecturer who used to ply his trade at Derby University and received a very generous pension which allowed him to drink virtually full-time. He was also a musician and played clarinet and alto-sax often guesting with local jazz bands on the pub circuit in Nottingham.

Irv loved Italy and all things Italian and would often go there on holiday and do a little busking coining some extra spending money in the process as long as he could stay sober enough to hit the correct notes because when I say that Irv was a full-time drinker I do not exaggerate.

Irv came back from one of these Italian sojourns minus his much loved alto-sax and said that he had been mugged on the streets of Turin and it was an outrage although many of us suspected that he had simply passed out and when he awoke the alto-sax was no longer there.

I wish you would share more of your stories Ralph.

For those of you who don't know him, Ralph has lived the most amazing life. He has enough great stories to fill several forums.

This is my first attempt at a digital story.

You know I'm crap with technology so don't judge to harshly.

PS- Turn the volume up, it's a bit quiet.

That's tremendous Tom and I'm greatly honoured to play a small cameo.

Very very good Tom. I remember you posting about the grinding bike when your Dad was building it. I used to live next door butone to my Nan and remember her taking knives out to a fella with one in the sixties.

On the subject of bikes I remember being too small to cock my leg over some of the older boys bikes, and not being able to touch the floor with my feet. I got over this problem by putting one leg through the middle of the frame to reach the pedal on the other side and rode it like that, sort of side saddle only standing all the time. Funny how your bike story whipped that up from my memory bank.
