Go on then you got me

Reason for Alias :  Not long after I first met my wife Petra (from Slovakia for those that dont know) I was looking for a new SN for some poker accounts and asked her what Ace and King were in Slovak.

Age : 38 for one more week

Occupation : Manager of an Estate Agents and part time property developer/landlord

Location : Leigh on Sea, Essex

Dream Job : Had it when I left school and was a YTS footballer before doing 1 year pro before realising I was not quite good/tall enough to make a great living from it, now it would be to be a top premier league footballer due to the money and choices it gives you.

Person to be re-incarnated as : Lil Dave  AINEC

Fav Comfort Food : A packet of Jaffa cakes and a cup of tea

Imaginary Super Power : Time Travel

Tom,

I think YOU should fill that questionnaire in.

I will eventually. I'm just so enjoying the others atm. Aren't they great?

It's amazing how so few questions can make me see people in a different light.

I mean, can you imagine Melissa as a spy? Tightly buckled tan raincoat, Ray-Ban Wayfarer sunglasses, Fedora hat, black cocktail dress, patent leather stilettos, stockings & suspenders....

Excuse me...   I'm just off for a lie down.

Nice of you to contribute Mr Kral.

I've always thought I would like to own a little bricks & mortar home somewhere so that I could rent it out to provide Mrs Red & I with an income when we're too old to work, and as a kind of insurance against the time when I become too old to manage the place where I live now.

OK. Listen up. I'm about to dispense some poker advice.

1: When you're running terribly, playing terribly only makes things worse.

2: Peeping at the board through your fingers and chanting, "No club no club no club" is a waste of time.

You are most welcome Mr Dog.

If the capital is there to invest then go for it as if you look at it over 10-15 year cycles then unless you are buying at the peak you have nothing to worry about and in most area's (London and South east exempt) prices are still at a good level to buy at.

Despite being an agent myself my timing was pretty poor due to my degen activities and stepped on and off the ladder at completely the wrong times and have actually only done well out of property after my Father sadly passed away and I would give it all back and still be 35 and in rented accomodation to have him back today.

On our rentals we make a small profit monthly which we put into a slush fund for any works that may need doing from time to time and for us it's about the capital growth over 15-20 years as opposed to any short term gain which is actually my next project where Petra and myself intend to buy and sell one property per year (not that we live in) for 10 years from my 40th to 50th and see what we have once we have taken the initial deposit and outlay back when I am 50...

I shall use my diary for updates so you may need to lower your reading standards and mix with the degens to follow  Wink

Reason for alias: I cold4'd someone in a live game, after his friend folded he said "yeah he's a tight 4bettor", I replied "I'm tighter for the better" kinda stemmed from there

Cheers Nik.

Police radio controller?  See. That's what I love about this. Who could have guessed?

One of my crazy job picks would be a lighthouse keeper.

PS- I may forgive you for that 4 on the river, not for quite some time.

You wont like it Mr D as it involves gambling but hey ho

In November last year I noticed that Walsall FC were on a pretty bad run in League 1 and texted Dubai that I thought it was a big price at 8/1 for them to be relegated and I wagered a good sum of earth pounds on this event happening in fact I felt it such a good bet that I posted in TFT that I felt the thread should get on and after a couple of days deliberation one of the "Elders" Camel had spoken to a man who knew a man in Walsall who confirmed that indeed they were a shambles and the price which although it had contracted slightly was still good value.

At this point Walsall had only won 6 out of 16 games and were winless in 8 so Tikay placed a bet for the thread and from that point onwards Walsall have been picking up results and have only lost one match this year so far so a few weeks back when they were 20/1 for promotion it was decided that this now represented value and we "Redded" out (Tikay will explain Redding out!) by placing A £5 bet on them to be promoted and since then whilst they have not lost they also have not won enough matches and are currently 3 pts outside the playoff zone with 2 games left.

So we win money if they get relegated (not going to happen) and win money if they get promoted (possible but also not going to happen) and lose money if they finish 7th-9th (going to happen) but we did have value and that is something that you cannot eat.

I have now become known as WalEsoll or midtable Kral (you get the drift) and whenever Tikay see's me in any thread he amazingly finds away of giving me the rub  Wink
