For those of you with a scientific mind and an educated palette, my water boiling experiments are now complete.
Our worst performing kettle has a min capacity of 0.9ltr and boils in 92 seconds.
Our best performing kettle has a min capacity of 0.8 ltr, (but seems happy with 0.5ltr so I suspect there is 0.3ltr of redundancy) and boils in 55 seconds.
I prefer a slow boiling kettle. I enjoy waiting for the kettle, I find it very relaxing.
Why is everybody in such a rush?
Bloody thirsty!
I rarely drink tea when I'm thirsty.
I feel like mantis with my controversial replies!

Just earned myself an earworm (where you get a song stuck in your head for ages). Can't believe that was as easy to find as it was, considering I couldn't remember the name of the band:

One time I was called from my office to speak to a young lady who wanted to join my gym but needed certain assurances from me first. When I sat down she said she was Jakki Degg's sister and wanted me to guarantee no men would ogle her in the gym. How on earth do you answer that? Tbf Jakki Degg's sister was no Jakki Degg, far from it in fact, so I was tempted to offer her that assurance on the spot. However, I put my diplomatic hat on and said surely it's better to be ogled and desired rather than not ogled and desired. She reluctantly agreed and said it's just so tiresome when it happens all the time.
