Speaking of lyrics, this flow chart amused me.

Ladybird drops 'boys and girls' books.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-30143662

I don't know if I'm chauvinistic, or just old fashioned, but I can't see what's wrong with producing gender specific books, toys etc.

No matter how you dress it up, (No pun intended) boys and girls are different. Not unequal, just different.

Any luck with finding your 'phone Tom?

It must be a right pain in the bum if you don't have your numbers backed up.

I do have my numbers backed up thank goodness Ralph. It was the only one of several measures I promised I would take that I actually implemented since the last time I lost one.

No luck finding my phone though.

I hope you remembered to note the disabling number via *#06# so you can at least get a cold crumb of comfort knowing that nobody will be able to use it or sell it?

Er...  Of course I did. What do you think I am, some kind of senile old fogey who doesn't understand how #06# works?

You type *#06# into your phone as though dialling a phone number and a 12-digit disabling number appears just in case you need to disable it.

I seem to remember mentioning this the last time you lost one...

I wonder if The Simpsons made the name Homer more or less popular?

I was thinking about my brain last night, (or perhaps I was thinking about my mind, I'm not really sure how the distinction works, except that one seems to be physical and the other more ethereal.

I mean, you can injure your brain, but you can't injure your mind can you? You can change your mind, but.. Well, you can see where I'm going.

The whole concept is strange. There can't be too many organs, (is the brain an organ?) that is capable of self examination. Me thinking about my brain is actually my brain thinking about itself, but not understanding itself.

I've got to have a shave now, but more on this later.

Gamekeeper Max he likes Sugar Smacks and he looks after animals too,
When squirrel hurt his leg he made him a peg with w wheel on the end painted blue-oo.

That was a jingle from a 70's advert for Sugar Smacks. I haven't heard it for ~ 40 years, and last night it popped into my head as fresh as a daisy. I could recall exactly the voice and the words and tune. I could even remember how the last word was extended to give it an extra syllable.

Where exactly in my brain was it stored for all those years, and what process triggered it's seemingly random retrieval?

How big was the file? If it was a sound file it would probably be about what, 400kb? But it has to be more than just a sound file because there's imagery too. I can remember the pictures that came with it, and what the telly I saw them on looked like.

It makes you think.

Hi Tom,
Amazing how the mind works, or doesn't as is often the case.
Why can we sometimes just not remember something, no matter how hard we try, yet when we are not thinking of it, we remember it !!!

Can you remember the CRESTA adverts?   ...........Its frothy man  Smiley
