Poppy isn't allowed to go further than the edge of the door mat. This is her wriggling in on her back to see if the rules still applies if her feet don't touch.

Kerry did that at the door of the front room. Then my Mum started letting her in when she was in watching Coronation St, then she started getting in when my ex and my Mum were in chatting, now she checks to see if there's more females than males and sneaks in, trying to avoid the attention of Dad & I, if Dad or I let on that we notice her she leaves v-e-r-y slowly milking sympathy, and makes attempts to sneak back in, if a female leaves, changing the balance, Kerry sneaks out & in with them.

Amazing isn't it?
Dogs are very conscious of the chain of command, the 'pecking order' so to speak.
The dogs always do as I say and they try it on with Mrs Red, but when the tone of her voice changes and that menacing edge creeps in, we all do as we're told.

Sorry if I've posted these before BTW.
Hi Tom, well after his first week Patch has really settled. The kids love him and he has loads of toys and explores the garden. Even the rabbit seems to have accepted him. Not too many accidents either! Sent some photos of his two favourite things, socks and hulk! Thanks Sam

Red, Dave was laughing because I'd said I used horseshoe nails in the original post
He wasn't being mean.
Anyway, it's the flat sides that make them useful - they don't indent the lead much.
Ah. My bad. How did I miss that?
Apologies to Dave.
Not a problem Tom.
I'm finding Rod's adventures in glass fascinating too, it's down to the extra time I now have for making stuff myself I think.
Today I'm making a picket gate for Mother-in-Law. I decided against buying ready cut and shaped pieces of wood for some reason that I now regret...
By the way, do you watch George Clark's Amazing Spaces? I've just discovered it this series. Last night one of the projects was the construction of a mini-caravan and it reminded me of your construction of the camper van.

I've watched most of the Amazing Spaces episodes Dave. I really like it but I enjoy the unusual people as much as I do the projects.

Thanks Dave, I find it strange that people are interested in the stained glass making, it's something I tend to keep quiet about because I think others would find it boring. I joined the class mostly as a favour to a friend and a bit due to my automatic curiosity to know how you do that, I didn't expect to become addicted.
I'm a big fan of Amazing Spaces & Shed of the Year as well.

What is it with men and sheds? I could happily live in a shed for the rest of my life.

Sheds - Its a biological time bomb built into all men, I am sure of it - somewhere between 30 and 35 suddenly they become very appealing and you must have one.
Cutting the grass is the same you spend the first 30 years of your life not wanting to do it and the next 30 years wanting it to be perfect and done just so.

Shit post Nakor, such a clown.
What do you get when you cross a joke with a rhetorical question?

I have spent the best part of 38 years cutting the grass and still loathe it. The idea of wanting to do it 'just so' is anathema to me.
I have finally seen the benefit of a shed though. In my case it's a corner of the garage but it has shed like properties.
