Try telling that to a bunch of 6 year olds though! Or grown men that have the brain of a 6 year old. Smiley

Have you succumbed to FB Tom? If so under what name? Asking so I can add you, then you can wish me a belated happy birthday for yesterday.  Grin

Happy birthday for yesterday Kev.    disco

No. I haven't succumbed yet, but I used Mr Red's account to post pictures and keep in touch with family while we were in India and it made me realise that it could be useful in the right circumstances.

As you may know, I'm planning to go on European motorcycle adventure at some point in the future and I'm flirting with the idea of giving FB a go.

On another note, I've been worrying that the motorcycle adventure might never actually happen. The idea is exciting, and it's fun to research and prepare,  but if I admit the truth I'm a bit scared and I know I'll miss Mrs Red while I'm away.

I've always been a bit of a dreamer, imagining myself doing things that I never actually do. On the other hand, I'm getting a bit long in the tooth now so perhaps the thought of running out of time will prove to be more scary than the things I'm scared of.

Well it's beginning to look like it might happen. We have a room booked near Dover for Tuesday, a ferry ticket for Wednesday, and another room somewhere nr Brussels for Thursday.

Smoke us a kipper...

Exciting news.

Hope the Customs queues at Dover don't occur - the delays last week were dreadful.

Love it Tom, love it to bits. There's a whole lifestyle snapshot in there, with all those bros & sisters, too.

In the "Comments" column, I assume they are family congratulating him - Shelbie Robert Farrow, Seline Charlotte,  Ian Thomas Mcphail?

Ahh yes, so we are.

Surely, though, we can't just ride to the front of the queue & cut in?

Tom, I became a little fixated by the Steele family & your wonderful pen picture of them in reply to Matt Russell, so I went a-googling.

Probably no connection at all, but I stumbled upon this stunning site. I assume you are familiar with it. If not, you'll be reading it for the next 2 hours.......

Some cracking stories & photographs in there. Do you know any of the people?

I'm not familiar with the site in the first link but I do know most of the people.

You're right, there are some great stories. I like Huighe's hedgehog one in particular.

No, obviously not when we get to the ferry lanes but all of the tailbacks on the way there are fair game.

Crikey, that one is an eye-opener. I now know what "paunches" are, all about trout tickling, & Oxo cubes. Wink
