We passed through a gate and saw a robin sitting there totally unfazed by our presence, in fact, he seemed pleased to see us.
Probably close to starvation, (millions of birds die when it snows) he was waiting for us to disturb some earth. If you look carefully you can see him picking in our footprints.

In other news, Mrs Nesbit has taken up limbo dancing.
As of this post she is still standing. Closest prediction to her downfall time wins the internet.

PS- I noticed a little sign under her scarf that reads 'DO NOT RESUSCITATE'.

Both from one litter.
Would like to breed from them but at almost two years old neither one has yet come into season.
I'm guessing that infertility is not hereditary though.

I had to think about that momentarily.

Excellent!
They learn loose control surprisingly quickly if you are consistent.
Thr main thing is not to nag. Your only connection to your dog at this point is your voice. Use it very sparingly.
Secret weapon. In the beginning carry a handful of gravel. If the dog wanders too far and ignores your command, throw the gravel at him when he's not looking. He won't be hurt, just startled. It's very important that he doesn't realise it was you who did it. He will think it's devine intervention and look/run to you for reassurance. This is the moment to repeat your command.
Done properly this technique has no downside.
More dog pics please.

Hey Red, long time no posts from me, so just catching up with the diary, dogs are looking fantastic. Do you have any plans to have anymore litters?
Billie is 9 now and at an age where she is getting a few medical conditions, she has arthritis & problems with her kidneys, we've changed her food & that has helped a lot.
Loved the video

Hi sov, glad you liked the vid.
The exact situation that Longines enquired about happened today. the dogs were under loose control when a rabbit bolted right across our path. The dogs took off after it immediately.
I made the mistake of calling them back. (Never give a command that you can't enforce if you suspect your dog may not obey).
I only called out the once, Poppy and Evie ignored me completely, Amber paused for a fraction of a second, gave me an apologetic, 'scorpion crossing stream on frog's back' type of look and continued on.
Another litter? Hopefully yes, sometime next year.
