Finally got finished today.

It's a real struggle now but I kind of take pleasure in the fact that this is another year when I didn't have to pay someone else to do it and then drive them mad by following them around offering advice.

I had a rare visitor. He stayed just long enough for me to get a snap on my phone.

I have a much smaller amount of greenery to deal with - but I've decided on more of a re-wilding project

Means the local predators have more cover to hide behind though

What kind of bird is that, Tom? It's head looks more like a cormorant than a heron.

It's an egret Dave.
There is a stream running alongside my place which he works regularly but he's very shy, you would need a telephoto lens to get a decent pic of him.

Ah, you pictured him before iirc, - it just looked a bit grey and the beak looked odd. Mrs egret should have a word as he's let himself go imo.

See that chequered shading effect on the felt of my stars table? Well it wasn't there before and I don't like it but I can't get rid of it.

I can change the colour of the felt, the rail, the cards or the background.

I can change the theme of the table, the texture of the background and the style of the cards, back and front.

Can anyone help please?

I would have bet good money that your post would be "Have you tried TIO and TIBOA"

This is my first day off BTW. I've locked the gate so that someone doesn't rock up and say, "Haven't you got anything better to do?"

Not the sort of expression I'd ever use.

What are you doing here anyway, Maltesers chuck you out?

Shame you can’t make it. Arbboy is coming and that’s not someone you want to miss.

I’m here for around 9 days, seeing family and cemeteries etc. was in Scotland for 9 days prior to that for my girlfriends granny’s 100th birthday party. She got a card from King Charles too so that made her happy.

Will catch you next time hopefully 🙏🏼
