Nag nag... You're not identifying as a woman now are you Trev?
Seriously though, I am slowly getting there. First of all they wanted my email address so I had to consider that for a couple of days, then they wanted me to download about half a gig of something, now they want to mess with my phone and they want access to my location.
What next, medical records?
Leave it with me, I'll try to loosen my tinfoil hat.

Heard the Cuckoo yet Tom?
Trev!
I haven't l heard a cuckoo since you first asked me God knows how many years ago.
I think of you every time I don't hear one though.
We had a Cuckoo close by yesterday morning and again today
Need you to hear one, they must of been a regular during your younger days
I always used to hear the cuckoo Trev. It was a stand-out moment for me because my grandad had a superstition that you should turn the change over in your pocket when you heard the first one of the year, he did it religiously and as a little boy I would copy him.
Although I'm not supertitious, (Touch wood) I continued to do ot long after my grandad's passing.

Cracking quote, only trouble is very few folk have change in their pockets nowadays
I still like cash not cashless
I always try to use cash,
I can't be doing with all that tracking software knowing where I've been
or what I've bought. (My daughter has advised me to buy a tinfoil hat)
My other daughter asked me if I find the change in my pocket annoying, but I tell her that I was born pre-decimal. I remember when there were 12 big pennies in a shilling, now represented by the 5p, a coin so tiny you could lose one in your eye.
In my day, you could batter someone senseless with 1/6 worth of coppers in a sock.
Your mobile phone does that.
You're welcome.
So much better than Tony's diary btw.

Lol. It did ask me to empty my pockets and demand to know, "Where wus you on the Hevening of the 14th?"
I'm almost sorted now though, I just have to produce my documents at Hinckley police station and I'll be good to go.

Not recently, but there was an occasion in my younger days.
I was living in Northampton with my parents and working from an office in Coventry just before I married and set up house in the metropolitan sprawl that is Nuneaton. One morning I had agreed to drop off my best mate at work which was ‘kind of’ on my route but to get from his work to the A45/M1/M45 to Cov but meant I needed to cut through the countryside towards the regular route.
I raced through Kislingbury like any good 22yr old in a company car and onto the little bridge only to meet a police car coming the other way.
We stopped about 2 foot apart and an arm gesture from the driver suggested that I might be well advised to back up and await his reaction.
I did as requested, got out of the car quickly, adopted a very submissive pose and apologised profusely. Took the words of advice quietly and agreed that I would report to a police station within the next few days and produce my license and insurance.

You did well not to get a summons David.
The police don't even have to stop you to check your licence and insurance these days.

Is it me, or has Daddies sauce got thinner? (Leaves door open for "Well you haven't got thinner" gag)
Back in the day when they used to put sauce bottles on tables in cafes instead of selling you a teaspoon full in a sachet for 20p, it seemed to take ages for the sauce to run out of the bottle, sometimes you had to bang on the bottom to get it moving. These days it seems to run out like water.
I reckon they've changed the formula to accommodate these newfangled duck fart squirters.

Hi Trev. I installed Merlin.
It's fabulous, I can't understand why you tried to put me off it.
My dad would have absolutely loved it.

I'm surprised to see that blackbirds are called Turdus. We have a robin that would fit that description.

turdus merula iirc, stuck in my brain for more than half a century.
The thrush family, while maybe not aristocrats, are certainly upper middle class imo.
