Yes, I used to get the olive oil ones, as they were easy to mix up with pasta. I discovered a couple of years ago that glutn was giving me acid reflux, so don't eat pasta anymore. The tinned fish I usually buy now are sardines or mackarel in tomato sauce. They can go nicely with rice or gluten free toast. I'm in tenrife at the moment and bought these sardines that are delicious.

You two weirdos are not helping my argument.
I could never really fancy sardines. I'm just not thrilled by the thought of eating skin, bone, eyeballs, lips and assholes.

Have you brought your golf clubs with you?
Golf del Sur is a nice course with black volcanic sand in the bunkers - I was there 30-odd years ago and watched The Balearic Open after playing the course a few days before the event started. Mark James won it.

Tony would like that. He spends more time in bunkers than Hitler did. He took so many shots I thought he was trying to tunnel his way out of one the other day.

Excuse me, have you forgotten the Par 3 14th hole miracle bunker escape yesterday? Upon seeing where it landed right under the bunker lip you insta stated "that's completely unplayable". I hit it to 6 feet as I recall.

Which was strange because it was literally impossible. There was no trajectory that could put that ball where you put it.
Did it bounce off your head?

I deliiberately didn't bring as much as a glove, because last year I went to the golf range almost every day and decided to give my elbows and wrists a rest this time. I'm staying at costa de silencio and one of my walks is across the scrubland to golf de sur. The green bits in this picture are amarillo golf and golf de sur.

I literally have no idea how the ball landed where it did. As you said, it was impossible to go for the pin so my plan was to try & get it out sideways & then work from there. I was as shocked as you to see it land where it did. Probably a complete mishit, one of those "good bad ones" we both know so well...

I don't know where you are standing Dave, but it's a hell of a vantage point.

On the plus side, I've seen some beautiful snowdrops and I am reliably informed that the crocuses are out.

I did take a picture of my snowdrops. Which is more than can be said for our Derbyshire reporter and his crocuses.

That'll be the person you described, to my utter shock, as "a reliable source" a few hours ago.
