Just signed up to Full Tilt. The "Your turn" warning sound is almost inaudible, is there any way to turn it up without turning the other sounds up too? (I don't want to disable card/chip sounds)

probs an easier way than this but it'll do the job as long as your comp volume isn't currently at full

open the volume mixer (right click on the speaker icon which is probs on your taskbar, bottom right of the screen, pick 'open volume mixer')

you'll get what looks a bit like a graphic equaliser

adjust the slider for ft upwards, that'll move the overall volume on your computer up but leave anything that's currently open at the current level.

if you start any programs later on you may have to go back into this and reduce their volume

I get "Open volume control" where I can turn up the lappy volume, wave, synth or line in, but no ft.

Full Tilt question.

Why are there two identical tourneys?  ($60+15 NLHE) One starting at 2200 and the other starting at 2202

they are daily doubles, win both and cop a fat bonus ... final table both get a bonus, and cash both get a bonus.

there is a clickable link which takes you to the webpage on the comp lobby

not as generous as it seems, part of the entry fee from each player is "set aside" for the bonuses Wink

I'm still running on Vegas time so managed to sleep until noon today. When I got up I fired up the lappy and noticed that Star City were now taking alternates. I knew Snoopy was playing, so I gave him a ring. He seemed a bit distracted, perhaps it was because he was just doubling up with quads.

Snoopy said "I wouldn't bother coming, you won't get in" but Star City is only 30 min from me so I thought "What the hell"

When I got there the place was heaving, I was a long way down the list of alternates but managed to get in mid way through level 3.

To tell the truth, I've heard a few bad reports about Star City, but the comp was well run, the structure was good, (running antes included) we had a nice buffet, and lest we grow faint, a big pile of bacon cobs a few hours later.

Avarage stack 46k (ish)

50 return tomorrow, including (With approx chip counts)

Micky Wernick (chip count unknown).

James Browning 20k,

Chinese Frankie, 100k

Mad Turk 80k. Had 150k but got muppeted. (Go figure)

Snoopy 20k,

Zippy 50k

Yours truly, 100k. (Not a typo)

We re-start at 1pm. Blinds will be 1500/3000 with a 300 ante.

Smoke me a kipper........
