does one have slimy smooth skin and ones got warty dryer skin

Yes. Toads are land based and have dry skin. They also have shorter back legs, designed for walking rather than jumping or swimming.

Red,

When you take the dog a walk do you jump in the car or walk locally.  I took billie a walk today to a place called eccup, beautiful place got some photos i'll post after i've had my sunday lunch (i know its late!)

I'm trying to think of new and fun places to take the dog and it seems you've always been to a nice spot and wonder if you seek these places or stumble across them!?

Sometimes I go in the car, but mostly I just walk locally Sov. Most places have something nice or interesting if you look hard enough.

These were all taken near my shed.

They are crackers Red, as I said earlier I took the dog a walk today, we went to a local Reservior at Eccuphttp://www.walkingenglishman.com/leedsharrogate15.htm.  Its a beautiful place, I tried to take a few photos but my camera skills are somewhat lacking!  I've also included some photos of Billie that I promises a while back!

It looks breathtaking Sov. I bet it's a great place to see waterfowl.

Billie is coming on a treat. I love her pricked ears. Dogs give away so much of what they're thinking by the way they hold their ears, they are a great training aid. You will always be able to tell where her attention is focused.

It's quite frustrating reading all the interactive posts on topics you wished you'd read at the time.

All that prog-rock stuff brought back so many memories - Yes were one of the bands that provided a soundtrack to my youth, along with ELP and King Crimson.

What are your current musical tastes Red? Apart from Mylene Klass?

Tom in that series of fantastic photos that you recently posted I've just noticed that the drop of water dangling from the tap looks just like one of those froggies' eyeballs !

Wow! that's a big question, I'll have to think on it a while. That reminds me, 77Dave asked a big question too and I haven't answered that yet.

In the meanwhile, There are a few bits and bobs here that you might not have seen.

Look at this terrific "Weed" that I found growing in a drainage ditch under a hawthorn hedge.
