championship manager 05 is not the same game
the makers and the publishers split in 05 edios had rights to name
SIgames had the rights to the gameplay
edios got new writers in and they rushed out a game that was crap (sue me if you want edios)
SiGames version wasnt ready but after a few patches was playable and a better game than cm05 by 1000%

Not too sure what version you are on but if Samba is around then you can take a look at Justin Georcilin, Alex Notman, Stuart someone (plays for Hull) Lewis Buxton is a good buy as is Martin Demichells but u usually get permit trouble. Martin Laursen is a good buy and Milan sell him pretty cheap. If i had to pick one it Would be Notman - Play him in the hole he is deadly

Yes Alex Notman ex Man U and Norwich retired after a tackle in the east anglian derby a couple of years ago. He now works behind the scenes at Norwich in our community scheme, never really made it despite being a useful player. Was destined for a lower league career IMO if it wasn't for the untimely end to his playing career

The most important thing you have to realise about champ 01/02 is that when players retire they are regened. Ie The season they retire they appear in the game as a youngster and usually join a team in the country which they are from. Regens always have the same balance and bravery, and same position and nationality. Always look out for regens every season as they have the same potenital as their predecessor.

Sensible world of soccer what a game. I spent my mid teen years playing this game constantly, it really was groundbreaking. The ability to play and manage a team, genius!

Ahh.I once took Leicester City to three successive trebles and Champions Leaguie Glory
I was basking in a 90,000 seater stadium and then they burnt it down!
Haven't played in a while but I remember two brilliant defenders A Comazzi and P Rotchen and J Vennegoor up frount with J Liuzzi
Unbeatable!
Nice thread, you saddos!!

Sometimes you have to suffer a little bit in your youth to motivate yourself to succeed in later life. Do you think if Bill Gates got laid in high school, do you think there'd be a Microsoft? Of course not.
