Making my way through the IMDb top 250 and watched my 100th tonight - The Intouchables. A French movie so everyone else in the house complained loudly when they realised they were going to have to read subtitles - and by the end everyone thought it was beautiful, funny and touching. 8.6/10.

Anyone seen Paterson? Thought I'd give it a go even though it sounded crap. No plot, no action, no adventure, just a week in the life of a relatively happy and content couple.

Really enjoyed it, think Red Dog would like it and Woodsey would turn it off after 2 minutes.

Had never heard of the Director Jim Jarmusch before. Now I'm working my way through all his films. Ghost Dog probably the most mainstream one I've seen so far.

Going In Style awful.

Whatever happened to Zach Braff? Garden State was quality but this is poor work.

If you like a bit of martial arts I can recommend the Boyka films, you don't need to watch them in any particular order, I've seen 2, 3 and 4 and the latter ones are probably better, but if you like a bit of modern day Van Damme you will enjoy them probably. Scott Adkins is ridiculously skifull on screen, only a matter of time before he gets a bigger Jason Statham type role I reckon....

On this theme check out the Ip Man films.  Based on a true character who was a master of Wing Chun and taught Bruce Lee.

Don't Breathe was pretty cool...3 youths break into a blind man's house with alarming consequences.

Get Out was ok...was expecting a horror but just unsettling, you get the impression things aren't right, a bit like The Invitation.

Looking forward to Guardians of the Galaxy

Colossal so disappointing.

Not a single noteworthy performance, including from Anne Hathaway, who's usually so good.

Don't bother, just revisit Donnie Darko instead.

What a great film, as good as the first and as close to a 10/10 as I can give  Smiley

Brimstone

Not sure if this has been mentioned before..

Set as a western but can easily be classified as a Horror/Thriller.

The tale is cleverly told in retrospective parts leading up to the final act in the present.

The mute wife of an ordinary farmer is happy enough in the burgeoning Wild West when a new preacher comes to town bringing with him her nightmare past.

Beautifully shot, dark, harrowing and often uncomfortable to watch Brimstone will keep you glued for its 2 + hours

Great performances from Guy Pearce and Dakota Fanning

A Dog's Purpose.

Hidden gem ftw.

Love a bit of Lasse Haslstrom. Even Salmon Fishing In The Yemen.
