Crowd at SJP 43,904 - nearly 3,000 more than watched the mackems take on Chelsea on Tuesday night in the Premier League following their win at Bolton. Remarkable.

Few people I know suggested we'd struggle to get 30k those same people also gave up there season ticket,we sure will.If ashley goes and the teams playing well most likely sell out every game.

Another good result tonight keep it up plz

Its only because you were playing the mighty wednesday, nothing brings a crowd out quite like seeing the blue and white wizards get battered like we always do against Newcastle.

My god its gonna be a long season for the owls Sad

Have the newcastle fans started singing 'one nil in your cup final' yet?

Its always a favourite for the relegated teams!

I notice that 'are you Wednesday in disguise?' is becoming more and more popular, so much so that away fans actually sing it to us at Hillsborough sometimes

"You're just a town full of horses..." sung at Cheltenham is my favourite.

you look in the dustbin for something to eat,
you find a dead lobster you think its a treat,
in your Monaco slums
in your Monaco slums

European nights in Monaco,Belgrade etc seem so far away.

I love the clever football chants.

We have started singing 1-0 its your keepers fault, 1-0 its your keepers fault.

Its cracking, even if it isn't the keepers fault!

At brighton we sang 'we can see you, we can see you, we can see you holding hands!'

Doubt that we created it but still funny.

Anymore for anymore?

Two of the best:

"Don't blame it on Henry, don't blame it on the injuries, don't blame it on the referees, blame it on Eboue!"

"Let's talk about Cesc baby, lets talk about Flam-in-i, let's talk about Theo Walcott, Freddie Ljungberg and Henry, let's talk about Cesc."

I have to say that i was 'unpleasantly' surprised by how good Newcastle were at Palace on Saturday.

There midfied ran the show, and the pace and movement was far far better than anything i have seen at Selhurst for the last 3 or 4 seasons.
Granted they didnt look too comfortable at the back, especially against set pieces and high balls into the box, but from what i saw on Saturday if they keep hold of Smith, Nolan, Butt and Guttieriez (sp) they will certainly be up there at the end of the season.

When teams come to our place and sing "Your'e not famous anymore"

The reply is "Your'e not famous anyway"

Makes me smile and usually quietens them down a bit lol

What an absolute **** Mike Ashley really is,thanks for the update tosser.Strange that he's put us up for sale just before the the jan transfer window took us off at the end of Jan then back on for the whole of the summer and will take us off it next monday, which just so happens to be final day off this transfer window. If we kept the players we have an just added free players like Campbell/Lovenkrands and 1/2 loan players we'd have  good chance of getting back up but instead he's prob going to ruin the club by selling Taylor/Gutierrez and anyone else he can get good money for,DIE PLZ
