Just about to leave the warmth of my flat in order to join in with the poker festivities up north.

Do they make you wear shoes at the G Casino, Blackpool?

Yes.  No Shoes, No Shirt, No Service, like they say above the counter in lots of fast food outlets in Southern California...

But trainers are OK. Wink

By 'eck, it's grim up t'North.

Doesn't make much sense to me. You can wear trainers at Blackpool, but the same casino in Luton is black tie and they check the polish on your shoes before you go in.

[ ] sweepstr has a very good understanding of how to use the quote option.

Feeling very kindly towards Stu Rutter for heading to the bar on our behalf during this first break, I wasn't going to post a looky-likey of him and Roger the alien from American Dad in a tea-cosy hat.  I just thought I'd put the image in your minds instead.

thanks for the updates guys. Best of luck to Mary Martin in this today.

Mike

Here's Mary Martin (I think) surprised into looking up and therefore a little blurry, sorry.  She seems pretty cheerful as yet...

Cheers - Good to see she's enjoying herself. Also nice to see the Mole and Brian Martin both looking as cheery as ever. Good Luck to the 3 of them.

Double through for Jake Cody just now courtesy of Paul Moss... it occurred mainly on the river, with the pot just over the 4,050 which Cody had bet (all in) at this point.

The board stood .  "You got me beat?" queried Moss as he considered calling the final bet.  That's the sort of question where the only true answer is: "Well, I hope I do, and you call.  And if I don't fold fold fold fold...."

Eventually he made the call.  He was shown , and mucked, nodding.

Not suprised she's cheerful, as the dealer has stopped talking. He dealt out table yesterday for a bit.
He had more table banter than Roberto Romenello and Barry Neville combined.

Nice lad though

Stuart Rutter has doubled up through Robert Boon. Rutter raised to 550 in the hijack, Boon reraised to 1,650. Rutter bumped it another 3,000 and Boon moved in. Rutter snapped with , Boon flipped .

two hearts

Rutter up to 20k.

This could have been a giant pot, had anyone in it had over 10k to start with... a cold-decker of sizeable proportions, with a result which opened even my jaded eye somewhat...

Threeway all-in pre:

Sid Harris:
E. Lundun:
Katharine Hartree:

Flop:   Not looking good for the black Aces...
Turn: two hearts
River:

Sid scoops the lot (but as the shortest stack busts no one) with the flush:

Lundun's (young guy in white) Kings take the side:

Hartree shrugs and carries on with the game:
