The Jason Shellum Van seems to be on a one-way trip to disaster...

He moved all-in and got called by Zachary Ford's , Shellum dominating with

three diamonds

It gets better...

Uh-oh....a disaster car crash?

Shellum jumps out of his chair as though he's been bitten by ants and shouts, "Come on!!!!!!!"

Darren Grosvenor has doubled through Mike Fisher with 8-8 vs 6-6. Mike Fisher doubled his now depleted stack a minute later with Q-Q vs Martyn Cavanagh's A-J.

Just moments before the bubble burst, an absolutely mammoth of a pot took place on the far table between Jon Heath and Alan Vinson. I only caught the very end of the hand, but Vinson was all in with against Heath's two hearts with the board coming an uneventful three clubs . Now, at first glance, this may have looked a simple case of, "Ah, well, I guess he made a move and got caught", but whilst that is obviously true, it's important to note that this was a 400,000 pot and one that has given Vinson the chip lead.

Moments after Darren Grosvenor was eliminated in 33rd place, we lost Heath who was so short that he was called blind. "I fucked up."

Floppy may have further details, but a disgruntled Alan Armitage has just joined me at the lappie to share his tale of woe. According to the man from Halifax, Pippa Flanders made it 20,000 with Q-J, Armitage pushed for what he said was 80,000 (although others seem to be informing me he had much less) with A-A and Damian Evans called with Q-Q. Flanders passed face-up (although, again, rumour has it she called and exited on the hand) and Armitage revealed his aces. Although a country mile ahead, the case queen hit the flop to knock Armitage out.

Thomas Saint and Gregior are both out, the latter losing with A-T to Sunny Chattha's K-Q.

Darren Hickman raises to 18k with about 45k behind and Paul McIntyre moves all-in for 90k. Hickman tanks for about a minute or so before making the call and McIntyre flips with a look that suggests he thinks he's in a race. Hickman flips over and the board runs out .

Someone says quietly, "Well that's the most unintentional slowroll ever..."

The Scouse brigade that support Paul look a bit disheartened.

Mike Fisher is next to bite dust. Most of his chips went with Q-T versus A-6, and a few hands later he was vamoosh.

Paul McIntrye doubles through... just. He was all in with against the of Brian Martin with an ensuing board of ... . Martin is down to 50,000, and McIntrye isn't fairing too much better with 55,000, but nonetheless relieved to still be alive.

With a payday secured, they're dropping like intoxicated trapeze artists, the latest to freefall being Jason Shellum. All in with , he was quickly shot down by Darren Hickman's with a subsequent three diamonds Two Diamonds board.
