A few stacks have been tinkered with slightly since play restarted 10 mins ago, but we've reached the "Raise, re-raise, dwell, fold" stage of the evening in quite a few areas of the room.  The lengthy considerations of some players does not bode well for the bubble - we may be in for a long night...

With fewer showdowns, we are watching the players who are raising a lot, and those whose reraises are getting rid of them.  Another Moorman/Tureniec hand threatens to take the rest of his chips when Chris' preflop raise gets shoved on by the sunglassed K-Q suited afficionado... He really thinks about it, then passes a raggy Ace of some sort face up.

Elsewhere there have been repeated battles between Surinder Sunar and Sam Trickett - Sunar's escaped jail a couple of times today and is now running away with the keys, while Sam gamely keeps his hand count up but isn't running over the table in the sort of way we've seen elsewhere.

Two interesting hands to report:  First off utg Tim Flanders raises to 9,000, called by Martin Green in the cutoff only.
Flop: three clubs    Check; check.
Turn:   Check; check.
River: two hearts  Flanders now chucks in 12,000.  Over to Martin Green who sets in for the dwell, but when the cogs finish turning he says, "Go on," tossing in the chips, "Present..."  Instead he gave the gift to himself - Flanders flipped .

"What's that?  Nothing?" quietly queries Green and answers his own question stacking up the chips as his for Ace high wins the pot.

Sam Trickett pulled a few chips back from short stacked Fran Egan - unfortunately I didn't see the beginning of the hand, although I think Sam called a bet on the turn.  What was mainly happening was some frowning, head scratching and general discomfort on the part of Trickett who had checked and now Egan had bet 9,500 with the board having just paired on the river:  .

Eventually he made the call and Egan did the, "You got me," table tap; Trickett's was good.

With around 60k in the pot by the river of the board, Jeff Duvall checked to Ketul Nathwani, who stared at the board for a little while. Then he bet 44k. "I call," sighed Duvall, and Nathwani flipped over for absolutely nothing. Duvall turned over for two pair, and is up to 135k, while Nathwani is crippled down to just 25k.

William Martin, our short stack going into the dinner break, open-shoved for his last 20k, and got himself called by Richard Wheatley on the cutoff. Robin Keston, however, made it 70k from the small blind. Wheatley hesitated, but passed, and it was heads up. "I might be in the lead," said Martin cheerfully and turned over . He was not in the lead, as Keston was holding .

Board: a relatively uneventful three diamonds , and he's out.

Winner:

It's Getting Hot Cold In Here!

Several players have recently taken the option to add thick outergarments to their persons to combat the hostile weather that is London in the winter.

The inclement weather conditions have brought the return of one of our oldest friends though. Used to be an ever present member of the poker community but was banished to the wildnerness in favour of a smurf-like hat.

Well it's back and it's looking better than ever!

I give you....STU RUTTER'S SCARF!!!!

Javed Abrahams in "getting me out of it" updates pls

Javed Abrahams Gets You Out of It:

Just now Glenn Ashworth makes a raise to 9k pre.  Button Abrahams repops him (19k total).  Big blind Stuart Nash goes into the tank, getting Abrahams to display his stack which is more than it seemed at first glance.  He passes eventually, but Ashworth had clearly made the decision to shove.  Shove he did; instacall.

Ashworth:
Abrahams:

Flop:     Nash heaves a sigh having clearly made the correct fold but would have spiked
Turn:
River:

Big old double up for Javed while Ashworth on life support with 20k.

Haha yes. I spoke to the Moomin about this hand. Here's how it went down.

Chris raises from the cut-off with two hearts. BB calls.

Flop comes 2-6-8.

Check, Check.

Turn is the K.

Check, Moomin 12.5k....call.

River is the 4.

Check, Moomin 28.5k....call

Moomin wins and is now up to 125k, though to be honest he still sucks at stacking his chips up.

"How many chips do you put in each pile Chris?" I asked him earlier, staring at one of the most higgledy-piggledy assortment of chips I have ever seen.

"I dunno, I jsut try and make them into even stacks. I usually know what I've got to the nearest 100k or so lol"
