Long Zhang

The young player tends to play with his head hidden by the nib of his baseball cap, making it hard to see his eyes but here is a rare shot of his non-obscured eyeballs I managed to snap.

Long allegedly has knocked out Liam Flood, meaning he will also have a stratospheric stack...

Flood Pre-Exit.

Roberto has indeed busted, somehow getting it on with against Robin Keston's pocket queens with no miracles to save him. Robin Keston now looks to have overtaken Pab as our MONSTROUS CHIP LEADER!!! - he's on 222k.

"Do you have over average chips?" asked a wag at his table. "Yes, replied Keston, "But the question is, do I have over average ability?"

It's good to be the chip leader:

It's sad to be Roberto:

Eirik Svanes, shortly after disposing of Boon along with James Akenhead, staring moodily into the middle distance.

UPDATE: James is OUT apparently! Incredible whirlwind start to today's action.

Incidentally, widen the shot slightly and you include our...

A little Les Dawson-esque no?

Also out is Mickey "The Leg-end" Wernick, in most unfortunate circumstances. He got it all in with aces against the pocket kings of none other than Mclovin - and a third king on the flop smacked him in the face. "I don't mind losing, but kings against aces fucking hurts, you know what I mean?" Indeed we do. Just to make it that little bit worse as well, Fran Egan folded a king in that hand, making it a one-outer. Ouch.

Gary "McLuckin" Clarke - now over 70k.

Fran "Terminator" Egan, by the by, on just 20k.

Trickett Doesn't Like Sharing...

He's all in, I think, and so start the vulturey railing of the table, noting that the board is and his opponent is Surinder Sunar and there's around 15,000 in the pot and Sam Trickett has two green stacks equalling 20k in front of him, over the line.  Surinder, not known for his brash instadecisions, took his time, counting down his stack and finding he had Trickett covered by a few thousand.  It became apparent that Trickett actually still had 600 chips left, and Surinder eventually just called.  Trickett's hand went over, 600 chips or no 600 chips:  .

Surinder kept his hand face down as the river came:

Then he turned it:  Two Clubs for the outkicked top pair with flush draw which ended up chopping the pot!  A sigh and arm wave of "sigh" from Sam Trickett, but he's not out like two tables' worth of players are already.

Getting It Quietly

In the style of the shipping forecast....here's my pick for Getting on to Final With Lots of Chips Without any Fuss

Duvall: 128,000; rising, slowly.  Fair.  1400 hours: 100,400.  Expect increase in latter part of day.  Visibility good.

Sad Lee Feels The Steel

When shortstacked Nathan Lee found TT and saw an opening raise to 6k by Guy Steel, he was happy to ship it in over the top. Steel insta-called though with a pair of Cowboys.

A King on the flop seemed to have sealed it, but with an Ace and a Queen dealt out also, Lee still had a gutshot to get him out of trouble.

No such luck though, the turn and river blanked and yet another player falls victim to the frantic opening to this exciting day's play...

"**** you all, I'm off to the bar!" (caption may differ from Lee's actual thought process)

Haha! I'm so good! No wonder they call me Guy "Balls of" Steel! Feel my power baby!(caption may differ from Guy's actual thought process)

Absentee Of The Day

Our number one didn't-show-upper today is Mr Ariel Adda, not pictured in his seat below. If anyone has his phone number, can they check up on him? We're a bit worried.
