Chris Bruce is doing his usual quietly efficient job of accumulating, up to 13,500 so far.

Dave Smith appears to be down from his starting stack, though he has piled all of his chips up in a huge thin tower to convince the less observant that he is doing better than the stats suggest...

One man prospering is Micky Wernick, who has close to double his starting stack having just had his set of queens paid off a few moments ago...

With about 5k in the pot, Jon Omara is facing an all-in bet from Chris Cancelliere on three diamonds, he shakes his head and passes. Cancelliere shows .

Daniel Rudd calls a 3k bet on a board before snap/calling another 4k on the river. His opponent mucked as quickly as he had bet the river and Rudd showed to win the pot and boost his stack over the 20k.

One man who seems to be in very good shape thusfar is Philip Clarke, who looks to have 30,000 or so at the moment and every time I pass his table he is sweeping up another pot.

He even showboated on one hand, winning a pot with 7-4 when he made a house on an 8-2-4-8-4 board, managing to elicit a bluff from his tablemate's counterfeited 5-2.

Early days but he might be eyeing up the £27k or so in first place the way things are going so far...

Billy Ngo is out.

'Chunky' Mick Jones is apparently walking on water next to Chris Bruce. He's had Eights vs Queens all in preflop and hit a rather helpful 8-5-5 flop to bust one stack before having A-Q vs A-T on a A-T-5 board before duly catching his queen on the river.

Brucey too has bonused his way up and is comfortably over 20k.

Nick 'I vont to suck your blood' Hicks approaching the 40k mark.

Sam Trickett ended up not going to the Irish Open but is here instead, he just raised preflop to 525 while the blinds were 100/200/25 and picked up two callers, one of which was Micky Wernick. The flop came down and Sam continued, betting 1,525 with Wernick the solitary caller. On the possible action inducing turn, Trickett bet again, this time to the tune of 3,150 which elicited a swift fold from the Worm who was a believer to Trickett's agression.

M3boy has just taken a hit to his stack. Calling a button raise to 900 from the big blind, he checked the two hearts board, only for his opponent to fire out a bet of 1k.

M3boy called before checking the on the turn.

His opponent dwelt before also checking.

The river was the and after a short period of shuffling and dwelling in absolute silence, M3boy led for 2,200, only for his opponent to make a somewhat reluctant call with J-7 for top pair...

His twitching lips began beaming though as M3boy could only table for the bluff, reducing his stack to just over its starting point, having been caught "bluffin' with his muffin."

Ooops...

Paul Hailing The Chip Leader!

Haha, do you see what I did there? Chortle.

Tracey Dell is down to the almost felt after running A-K into A-A.

"I'm going home in a strop," she says. I think that's a Swedish car...

Des Jonas is out, he was all-in with the against but hadn't turned his other card over until the three clubs board got dealt out. Then he flipped the card...The of course for a bad beat that never was.

Nick Hicks raises preflop and Rana Gurnham calls in middle position.

three diamonds

Hicks bets about 1,875. Call.

Check....and check.

Hicks now bets 3,750. Rana Gurnham gives him evils but then almost looks like he's going to raise the river bet, but in the end he decides to just muck his cards.

Simon Nawab isn't in the best of shape, seen limping around with a bad leg. He suffered further injury at the felt, managing to fall into a £1,700 hole at a laggy 1/2 cash table.

He told us about his misfortune but had one more ace up his sleeve we didn't see coming.

"But I won it all back! I needed to get lucky though, made a straight flush versus the nutflush." He limped off giggling.

In other news, blonde's AgentChip109 is out, his shortshack shove with J-8 running into Q-9 and A-Q. Temporarily ahead having flopped a jack, his luck ran out as a bullet spiked to leave him battered, bruised and pot-less on the rail.

169 players remain at the moment as level six draws to a close.

Gupreet Nagi has dropped to about 7k having checked called three streets with 5-5 on a 6-6-J-6-7 board against Ghassan Chehbi who managed to get there on the river with T-7 (who stated he was actually bluffing hoping to get a fold but it turned into a valuebet). Soon after Chehbi won another pot from him, Nagi holding a set of fives on an all diamond board but a fourth diamond on the turn slowed the action and Chehbi's took it on the river once more.

We are now on a break following the end of level 6.

Just before the break Tracey Dell dinged her last dong (I didn't think that statement through did I?)

Facing a raise from M3boy, she shipped her last 4 big blinds with ace-four, only for M3boy to make an obligatory call with a dominating ace-queen.

It was still dominating by the river meaning she is out.

"Are you off home now?" I ask.

"I might head down to Luton actually. Just got to go and nip flopsy-wopsy first!"

[Mental note: Chris has a new nickname.]

"I think flopsy-wopsy has a little bit of the...what's that guy from 4 weddings called? "

"Forrest Gump?" I answer innocently.

"No, no...I mean.... Hugh Grant."

"er...."

Not sure I see that to be perfectly honest...

Anyone?

Frampton Comes Alive!

Neil Wyatt has been knocked out in a multiway raised pot, as Daniel Ball raised preflop and bet the two spades flop, Wyatt raised his 1,200 to 3,600 with about the same behind before Frampton moved in behind. Ball folded and Wyatt ummmed and ahhhhhhhhed for a while before calling with , Frampton showing the unlikely but winning Two Diamonds which saw a scary hit the turn but survive on the river.
