StarSports is 33/1 Brinkleys Poet for 2019 Derby. Was Hoping someone would go 50/1 but that’s more wishful thinking with his current performance. Obvs not a value play with it being a year away and the last few days has shown us the unfortunate side of racing with Farrens injury, however I think Matt Dartnell is quite an astute trainer, Peot was 3rd behind Brandy and Verve in puppy Derby and was not entered for this year. Got to be that they are targeting next year so I’m on board with 2pts ew to get the ball rolling. I asked bf to add Poet to the exchange as well.
Might look at keeping the thread alive for the Irish Derby In September, would love to take the kids as we have family in Ireland (You would never guess with O’Reilly for a surname) so let’s see if we can get a book together for that. StarSports are first to go up with the market for this. All thoughts are welcome.
Gold Collar might give us an opportunity to find a 4 bend dog that is stepping up in trip and may need the extra distance, my initial interest is for Droopys Dresden, was consistently in the frame during the Derby and although I haven’t watched the races back again yet I do remember think8ng that he would be a dog that needed further. SS are first up with a market and have him at 10/1 which I thought was a little short. Will hold out to see what others price him up as, will also request the market on bf.
Any initial thoughts on Gold Collar Scotty/Arb.

I like Cotton Pants in the 5:28 at Henlow (mini Derby) has a good record at Henlow and I think b365 at 3.25 is golden if you can bet with them. I’ve taken the 2.75 with Coral, can see it being about 2.1-2.2 on bf come kick off. I’ve had 4 pts win.

Didn’t see the race, came last from results. 2.25 I think.
Brinkleys Poet in the final at Nottingham tonight, we missed the 5/4 that 365 opened, odds on everywhere now, will be on RPGTV, should be a good race.

Assume 365's 5/4 Poet lasted about 3 seconds. 4/7 elsewhere. Won't be opposing, just won't be betting the race.
Only real bet tonight is Master Kelly in the 8:51, available at 7/1. Real favourite of mine and has a draw to work from tonight in 6. T5 isn't going to love the draw and will definitely be moving left and I'm not sure if he can clear having to come across from there. T1 has the draw and could lead on the inside but if Kelly gets the clear that I imagine he will then he could get to it on the run in.

Nowhere.
What on Earth was that commentary from Pat all about, sounded like he didn’t have a clue. Calico Brandy pulling up quickly didn’t look great. Peot struggled to get past T4.

His commentary is honking. Not his job though I guess.
Hope Brandy is ok, turned off so haven't heard any update.
