Just finished Burn Notice.  Whilst it won't make my top 5 programs ever, it's a cracking fun series of programs.  It's a bit like the A Team, perhaps just as cheesy, but it's modern and very watchable.   It has some great character and is certainly one to watch at some point.  7 out of 10 from me.

Just finished True Detective.
Started with such promise, but for me, under-delivered massively.

We never really got to the bottom of the bad guy or what was going on, or indeed, who else was involved.
As if Rust would go all spiritual at the end?!
The mumbling got worse and worse. At some points, I was just trying to work it out from the pictures, and gave up on the words altogether.
Too much watching people figure stuff out and Google stuff.
Last episode was like watching CSI meets Catfish.

Very disappointing.

So I'm after yet another series to watch by myself when the Mrs goes to bed and last night I started Criminal Minds.  Thought it was pretty good, pretty serious compared to the Burn Notice that I've spent the last month or two watching, it's a proper police drama.  Has Forest Whitaker in who I quite like, but he's no Chuck Finlay.  Early days yet so won't give a score out of ten but it's a good start.  I may keep looking for something a bit more light hearted in the mean time.

I'm sure I saw on a Sky channel last night that the 200th show was about to be on.  Should keep me going for a while.

Sorry Graham, that's not Criminal Minds.

That's Criminal Minds: Suspect Behaviour. It was a spinoff that lasted all of 13 episodes.

The main Criminal Minds with over 200 episodes has Saul from Homeland in the first 2 seasons before he quit.

What a shame it was that he left... Still a decent show, but Joe Mantegna is no Mandy Patinkin!

Well bugger me, you're right.  Don't think I'll bother if it's only 13 episodes.

I guess I'll start again, thanks for the warning.

Fargo was really really good. Retained enough of what made the film special while deviating from it enough too. Lots of surprises, great casting, really want to see the next one.

Martin Freeman could be the next great Walter White 'Mr Chips becomes Scarface' character? I know that is not in keeping with the movie, but I like the idea.

I havent read the thread in full, so apologies if these have been mentioned and played out.

Modern Family just started waching over the past few weeks. Fast becoming my favourite show.

The Blacklist - excellent US drama.

Thoughts?

The Blacklist is awesome. One of only 2 shows I have to watch on the day it is released (the other is Person of Interest). James Spader is a legend.
