They don't really have CCTV and ANPR though, it's just 'simulated' eg the camera man with the hunted sends them a text.

im enjoying it, but it's not exactly straight up.

Any watchers of The Mentalist here? I'm a couple of seasons in and, as much as I enjoy some of the episodes, it gets a bit repetitive. Is there more to this if I stick to it?

Last seasons were pretty good I thought. Then once the change its a bit weird but still watchable.

It's repetitive, but Jane is com, so I enjoyed the whole series.

Reality TV is shit. We all know this. The only thing it's good for is for Chompy and Tal to make Fred money by betting on it.

However, I've started watching a different type of reality show. It's on Channel 4 every Thursday at 9pm and it's called Hunted.

http://www.channel4.com/programmes/hunted/on-demand/60136-001

The premise is brilliant. 14 volunteers who applied to be on the show are given one hour's warning that they have to go on the run. They get a bank account with £450 in it and have one hour to pack, say their goodbyes to their family, and get the hell out of town before the "police" come and "arrest" them. And when I say police, I mean the best in the world.

The guy heading the 30 man team of crack investigators used to be the Head of Counter-Terrorism for the City of London Police. Their analyst worked for the FBI and was part of the team involved in locating Osama Bin Laden. They have access to all the systems that you can imagine. ANPR, CCTV, banks etc. You name it, they have it.

It's absolutely brilliant. Quite possibly one of the best TV shows I've watched this year. Just a pity it's probably only going to be 6 episodes, which is standard for Channel 4. There have been two so far and I've linked to 4OD for the first episode up there.

That Ricky the doctor is brilliant, really rooting for him. Very compelling TV.

Kurt Sutters (SOA) new series The Bastard Executioner aired episodes 1 and 2 last night.

Any good?  Will look into this tonight Smiley

Now starting episode 3 and it is really growing on me dispite the fact that i dont think the lead actor is great.

Also took me 90 minutes to realise the old witch lady is Gemma from SOA                    DOH

Saw Jack Black on Fallon talking about it, and it looked pretty funny.

I've not bothered with it yet, as I've not really got time to get involved with any shows, and am making do with popcorn stuff I can leave for a while.

I think This is England could possibly be the best drama show we've made in this country. The writing is unbelievable, such an intense program to watch, will be sad when it ends on Sunday, so so good.

Completed this a couple of days ago. They all look like they've had a blast making this and who wouldn't! Fast cars, faster women and loads of money.

6.5/10 for me
