I havent read the thread in full, so apologies if these have been mentioned and played out.

Modern Family just started waching over the past few weeks. Fast becoming my favourite show.

The Blacklist - excellent US drama.

Thoughts?

The Blacklist is awesome. One of only 2 shows I have to watch on the day it is released (the other is Person of Interest). James Spader is a legend.

Indeed. Good to hear im not in isloation with this show!! as you dont hear much of this show in relation to GoT, Homeland, Breaking Bad, etc.

I'd guess it's only because 'The Blacklist' is in it's first season, and won't be all that well known yet. The trailer didn't give much away, but James Spader being in it was enough for me, great actor.

I've been waiting for the season to end, so I can bang it out over a weekend, but I'm now thinking that I'll use it to burn through my flights this summer!

Yeah, there are 22 episodes in season 1, and it has already been renewed for another season.

Modern Family is my fave comedy show ever, and possibly my favourite show.  All the characters are brilliant, and all have something about them, the casting is superb.  Phil could be the best, I love his looks to camera but as I say, they are all very very good.  I even enjoy watching the reruns as there's quite often a quick one liner I didn't see the first time around that has me in tears.

Modern Family is one of those shows I never mean to watch, if I see it in the listings I don't put it on, but whenever I watch it I am always roaring with laughter. I had the same thing with Scrubs (less roaring).

The fat gay guy is the best one IMO

I must be the only person who finds Modern Family boring as hell. Just makes me cringe.

similar to other HBO series it's not especailly fast paced, but by eck when something happens there's no fanfare.

Buscemi is awesome.

And so many actors re-used from other HBO productions tis awesome.

Anyone watching 'The Trip to Italy' on BBC 2? It's season 2 of the Trip. It is literally just Rob Brydon and Steve Coogan travrelling around Italy visiting restaurants and winding each other up.

I find it an absolute delight. The interactions between Brydon and Coogan playing exaggerated versions of themselves are incredibly well acted and seem so natural.

I genuinely wonder how much of it is scripted and how much is just them trying to antagonise each other for our amusement.

Started watching this today as loved The Trip and didn't know they'd made a second season.

Laughing uncontrollably at the Michael Caine/Batman bit.
