Anyone watching 'The Trip to Italy' on BBC 2? It's season 2 of the Trip. It is literally just Rob Brydon and Steve Coogan travrelling around Italy visiting restaurants and winding each other up.

I find it an absolute delight. The interactions between Brydon and Coogan playing exaggerated versions of themselves are incredibly well acted and seem so natural.

I genuinely wonder how much of it is scripted and how much is just them trying to antagonise each other for our amusement.

Started watching this today as loved The Trip and didn't know they'd made a second season.

Laughing uncontrollably at the Michael Caine/Batman bit.

Didn't know of this prog until reading itt.

The whole Batman bit was hilarious, haven't laughed so hard in ages, quality.

Cheers Hutch.

Also got into this based on this thread, really enjoyable easy watch. It is basically how I hope they would be around each other away from the cameras.

apparently they aren't that close away from the show. they are friends, but don't hang out that often.

they would like to be ofc, but 'life gets in the way'. Doesn't it always Wink

Coogan even thinks that's why it works, 'because I haven't said everything to him before'.

although my friend doesn't DL music or movies if one day HBO go after illegal DL'ers he would be well screwed. private trackers are apparently first line defense against nasty letters in the post. he's also wondering about tor, usenet etc. if anyone knows about this sort of thing please let me I mean him know Smiley

Happy Valley anyone?

What a wonderful surprise it is.  British drama at its best.

Without gigging away spoilers  what season does Dexter start getting shit?

I'm on season 3 and really enjoying it, but am aware it goes really downhill in the late seasons.

Season 4 is pretty good so you have a bit to work with but it basically falls off a cliff after that but stick with it for comedy value because as good as the first couple of series are the last two are just plain awful but so bad it is amusing.
