moral currently high in marbella, we came home at 9ish and grinded online together and most had an early night. Tomorrow, monda, myself, titty and jozef play day1a, im not 100pc sure what mitch/keith etc plans are but looking forward to getting out grind on.
I had a tilting hand online at 400nl, utg limps, i fold aa in sb, sigh, bb raises, utg snap jams, bb snaps, kk v aq, pretty deep so lose like 1.5k worth of equity there. Nvm though won a flip and ran ok.
Went for a meal at this moroccan restaurant after tall anon had upset some of the locals. Villa is really nice and i luckboxed the nut room with jozef and the ensuite.
Looks like a pretty huge field, guys are expecting 300 to 500 runners so def a 500k+ prizepool.
Hopefully will be have positive updates tomorrrow.

Signed up to follow the blog with your company. Are they the same sort of thing as bankroll supply and poker risk? Looks pretty professional

Nah, totally different, we basically provide poker rooms for players to play on and give them a bankroll for free (we dont get %s of their winnings) we then educate them by hiring coaches such as Jungleman, Jonathan Little, Patrick Leonard etc, and provide a community where they can talk to eachother, just like Blonde. We make sure we can give the best rakeback offers to every one of our members including a 250k rake race etc etc. We have 6 million members and have given over 1 million members a free starting bankroll.
Next month we launch a company called Tradimo, who are a sister company that are using the same business model but for trading.

Woke up at 4 today, Beaneh was up late too and we wandered down to the casino. Found out Dan Morgan pure bubbled (both had 10%) and were really devved for him. Had 5% in some German friend who got to the final 9 but goes into tomorrows final with a very short stack.
Regged for the tournament tonight which was a 330 Spanish Open. Decided to do somehting different today, the Spanish literally never fold, I decide to tighten up alot and change my bet sizing. I was making it 4.5x for the first 4 orbits and they kept calling and I kept making value bets and chipping up. I folded JJ pre and was shown AA and then folded AQs and was shown KK. Table quickly brought Fenix and Monda, I win a flip vs Ben and then Alex Goulder joins us.
Go into the break with 35k which was probably top 5 stack, buy everybody a round of drinks to try and keep karma alive so that I could improve on my run from both day 1s in the main. First hand back I raise/call 88 vs 33 but don't do a win. 4 hands later Alex doubles huge vs a really aggro skandi I've been battling with this week. Next hand I raise/call QQ vs his JJ and he finds J on the river.
Pretty bad table and we get split up, first hand raise/call AKss v QQ and bricks off. Chip up a little bit from non showdowns and then folds to SB with 10 bigs who jams 1010 into my KJ. Doesn't do a win.
It's announced last level of the day, I chip up with a good 3bet spot and a good rejam in great spots and then lose 99vA8 for 17bigs each.
Finally finished off when I jam A2s bvb and bb snaps with JQo for 12 bigs and I'm literally drawing dead on the flop./
Really really brutal, demoralising day. Hopefully Plinton and Daniel can do a win tomorrow

I remember about a year ago I posted on here saying I had just had my best ever month as a poker player, financially of course, I'm delighted to say this month has overtaken that.
I started playing on microgaming on around the 10th of the month after winning around 9k in online tournaments, playing 6max I found "turbo" tables (you get around 6 seconds per decision and no timebank) and completely fell in love, I've never enjoyed playing more than 8 cash tables as dynamics and game flow are essential to my game strategy and I would certainly not be able to play the way I do (33/28/10ish) if I played a lot of tables. So basically these turbo tables let me get in the required volume to iron out variance and because of my strategy (inserting as much pressure as possible) they compliment my game perfectly. Im going to continue playing these whilst trying to bunhunt high stakes in the future, so I guess the plan now is to once again be the best in the business (beat player at 400-1knl) on microgaming at the turbo tables.
I've been playing at 8pm-1am most noughts after working from 10am-7pm and trying to look after my gf, dog and puppy. Not only does this have a massively negative effect on my relationship it has a hugely detrimental impact to my game and progression as a poker player. I have to seriously start adding up the pros and cons of job vs playing poker, without getting into any detail I currently get paid more than 99% of people my age however make more from playing poker, I'm really struggling with working out about my let's say reverse implied odds in going into poker full time. If I didn't work somewhere that I really loved and in a job that I was extremely passionate about with great future potential I wouldn't think twice but I just really really don't want to look back and ask myself what if?
I've taken a big interest in MTTs this year and have been highly profitable, as mentioned in previous posts I have been trying to think outside of the box as much as possible without stepping over the fancy play syndrome line. I'm extremely happy about the way my game has developed, I think as a cash game player im a lot better than tourny grinders at realising when people are fos picking up good multiway pots and general hand reading, whilst I still think perhaps a little way behind about knowing exact ranges, although whenever friends are talking about spots in never really far off if off at all, with this perhaps false enthusiasm I descended for marbella with team eureka and guests...
I got there on the Thursday evening ad greeted all of the guys on the casino, I heard Matt Russell was coming and after a long day at work I initially assumed for like 2 hours that pete linton was Stuart Hopkin lol. Nice first night settling into the apartment with my friend jozef, Monda, dan Morgan, julian, jakally and beaneh. Although we were the non notts I was happy with the villa and was especially nice as I had only really met Monda irl.
I played day 1a and within 9 hands this skandi guy had 4bet twice, 3bet etc folding to his btn he obv flicks in raising chips and I joined from the big blind along with the small, for a 3way pot with 79hh, I flopped a flush and thought I would irritate the skandi by donking we get lots and lots of chips in by the river as I took a pretty passive line by flattish the flop raise and calling down and unfortunately I was shown a flush, pretty ridiculous but never mind, I was down to 4.4k in level 1 and had to get my grind on. I found lots and lots of good spots ad tried to manipulate my stack size as much as possible, I got a 5brt through vs the skandi in a really really great spot whee I was certain all 3 raisers in front of me were v weak and we were back above starting. I win a big pot either side of the break vs skandi number 2 a d we had reached 30k within a few levels. Before the dinner break we had jj and managed to get into a huge pot vs skandi but unfortunately couldn't hold for what would have been an amazing spin up and a top 10 stack at the time. We get finished off 88v99 for the last 10 bigs or so and moral is very very low.

That evening I went home and stayed in with Julian, I was down about 2.5k online and about to blow, julians calming nature rubbed off on me and I thanked him before heading to bed 2 hours later with 2k profit for the day.
I got up early the next day and decided to play day1b as a reenterent. I went for breakfast with Dan Morgan and Ben Dobson which raised moral significantly and I say down ready to battle with the spanish fish who were out in great numbers, my table was the one table outside of the playing area and who was sitting on the right of me? The posh one, Alex goulder... He was on my right so wasn't exactly slitting my wrists but I k ow he likes to play pots so would be opening a lot of hijacks cut offs and buttons so would be hard to personally run the table over. As predicted Alex played aggressively 3bettibg a lot more than the norm at these early blind levels and keeping me out of pots vs the fish. I found kk utg and a guy from Singapore that I had a great read on 3bet utg+1 a Spanish fish cold called the small and surprisingly Alex cold called the big, alarm bells were going off but I decided to 4bet and utg+1 tank called whilst Alex and his mate got out the way. Flop came down q92hh I had 4bet to 5900 pre and had 16k left and was planning on c/f, he thought for 20 seconds a d checked back, turn was a brick and I check called a really really small bet with the bite toon of folding on almost any rivers, the beautiful king f clubs came in on the river and I jammed. Invade he checked back aa which he would do 100% of the time and I thought his bluffing range was insignificant as it was always non existent giving the action, he called with qq and I had doubled to 45k and had a fantastic table.. Just as I was stacking up chips one of the weirdest hands I played in the week happened..

So action folds round to a really really bad English guy on the button who had managed to get down to 15big blinds, he limps, Alex completes the small blind and I look down at two red eights. He has 3k at 75/150, so I just raise enough to put him all in, he calls very quickly and then Alex raises to 7.6k with around 15k behind, my first instinct was WTF?
He completed when there was so much value va the fish where we could increase his stack by 15% and I'm unlikely to spew here as I'm stacking up my new chips and dot need to get involved vs him when table ap soft. I basically levelled myself into folding as I didn't think he would attack a dry side pot and he showed k9s. I was super confused and although I wouldn't take Alex's line in this hand I certainly understand it and see the pros of doing it as he would expect me to raise less than 15x vs the fish who would normally fold with the top of my range and that I probably would avoid a high variance pot as I had just doubled and busted earlyish the day before. The major downside is that I can easily just say FU you're repping nada and stick it in his eye as my range can never really have any trash in it but lots of on your eye mate hands.
I chip up some more and we get a table break, I was t bothered either way, I get my new card, jostle through the card room and find my new seat, opposite I've guy I bought a piece in (Daniel Keller who final tabled) and on the right of the post one, Alex goulder, your got to be fucking kidding me?! Pretty comedy, but nevermind onto the grind, alex kept battling and the first time he 3bet I 4bet with the intention of getting it in with the v bottom of my value range so was pretty happy when he folded.
Few orbits later I open hijac with a7ss, a really annoying looking guy who was starting to irritate me flat the small blind and led into me on ks qd
board, I called quickly and called quickly again on the
turn, on the ad river he checked and I snap checked back riveted 2 pair which seemingly sent him very angry as he had riveted a flush and expected a bet.
He actually left the table for a few hands, there were 2 young Spanish online grinders at the other end of the table, both wearing dr dre headphones and seemed to play pretty terrible and face up with ill timed aggression, I 5bet one of them and then directly before dinner I 5bet and won on the flop vs him to send me to dinner with like 75k with the average at 28..
