Another +1 for Vdara here - definitely recommend it. Easy to get cabs from.

Dont have any experience of staying in Vegas hotels but what is wrong with a room at the Roi?  Cant get any closer right?

Also dont worry about losing pace on SNE, you should be able to catch up no probs

The rooms are actually nice in Rio- pool area not great, restaurants poor and a horrid repetitive song that's played in one part of the casino makes you want to jump from the roof. It's certainly fine for a short period just will get to you after a while

The times I've been to Vegas for longer stays (2 weeks is long for me), I find changing hotels is a good ploy just for a change of scenery so it doesn't feel like groundhog day.

Alright, were booked up 15 Jun - 11th July, optimistically expecting to be in the main event for more than 2 days.

I always do 2/3 weeks, so in the past have split my time between Palazzo and one of Wynn/Caesars/PHo.

I might say that staying at the Rio when you're playing the main wouldn't be the worst idea. Obviously disregard if Mrs BITB is going to be joining you at the end of the trip.

I've booked a room there for the 26th June in case I play that $1.5k comp, so that I don't have to knock in a oner on cabs back to the Nugget.

Have to agree, pads makes pals with John the card room manager and show your face for a few deece 5/10nl sessions, slip the floor staff a few bucks and you'll get the poker rate nps. Works out a bit over $800 p week which is actually very good value considering its fucking sick and regular punters are paying $675 p night on a Saturday.

It's just pure class that place
