Pads, hate to piss on your parade but I'm almost certain if you were part of the GPI top 1,000 and didn't declare yourself for the draft then you can't be drafted as a wildcard.
I see you're ranked 995 as of now, if you were below 1,000 as of Feb 12th then it's as you were and good luck.

Any chance of a blog piece about your business etc cause the way you speak about poker is so informative. So I imagine if you could speak about your business goals and how you motivate staff etc this would be amazing!! Love the blog keep up the good work

So woke up at 4am, had a message from Apotheosis asking some stuff about Vegas and WSOP.
3 hours later I've booked a business trip to Vegas on June 3rd till July 17th and apparently going to play a full WSOP schedule!
Last year was pretty good. Last two tables in the 10k PLO losing a std flip to go 5/14 and then last 3 tables of a 2000 runner field $1500 losing Kk v qq for 2/20 as well as another last 30 or so in $1500.
Times were tough at times, I had an emotional roller coaster, but it was pretty fun. This year mentally I'm incredibly strong and I think this will be my last year going to Vegas. I cannot wait for it and I'm going to be so ready and prepared mentally, physically and strategically that I'm going to put myself in as many positions as possible to do really well. Of course MTT variance dictates that playing such a few amount of tournaments that I can easily do poorly results wise, but I know that when I'm flying back on July 18th I'm not going to have any regrets.
Here is likely schedule I'll play, some tournaments are on the fence such as the 10k hu.
June 6th - $1500 no limit June 7th - $10,000 no limit HU June 8th - $1500 no limit 6max June 10th - $1500 millionaire maker June 11th - $1500 millionaire maker June 12th - $1000 no limit June 13th - $1000 Omaha June 14th - $3000 no limit 6max June 15th - $2000 no limit June 16th - $2500 no limit June 16th - $1500 o8 June 18th - $1500 no limit June 18th - $3000 PLO June 20th - $1500 90 min levels June 21st - $5000 no limit 6max June 22nd - $1500 PLO June 23rd - $10k 6max June 24th - $3000 no limit shootout June 25th - $1500 monster stack June 26th - $1000 no limit June 26th - $1500 no limit/PLO mix June 27th - $1500 bounty no limit June 28th - $5000 no limit June 29th- $1500 no limit shootout June 29th - $10000 PLO June 30th - $3000 no limit June 30th - $1500 mix July 1st - $888 July 1st - $888 July 2nd - $888 July 2nd - $888 July 3rd - $1500 no limit July 3rd - $1500 o8 July 4th - $1000 no limit July 5th - $5000 no limit July 6th - $1000 tag team July 7th - $1000 no limit July 7th - $3000 o8 July 8th - $111,111 one drop July 9-11th - $10000 no limi main
Staying in a house is a lot more desirable this year now that Uber is in Vegas and I don't have to depend on unreliable taxi drivers.

Hey, well the toughest thing with Vegas is getting there with $100k as max banks let me take out if $2-3k and even that is a huge stress, so basically all year I try to trade $/euros/pounds and then when I go to Vegas I see how much I'm going to need. Its all quite stressful. I will likely sell something like https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1HkpsHPMVtbd0TfzsuJEGBgAjgDSRlYveHcUgqaoDHIM/edit#gid=0 that will just about get me by without having to hope a friend banks a big tournament or that I somehow get lucky For the one drop, as its at the end of the series, I'll decide closer to the time, probably somewhere between 10-30% I guess. As this is my last time going for it, I don't mind taking some bigger shots than I normally would I guess.

no clue how the banks limit you to 2-3k probably doesn't help that you never use them! you can just bank xfer a currency company and get US$ delivered or something. it's not that hard.
also, if you have the funds to play so many high buy-in events, how can you and X poker players not chip in together to get a driver for the time you stay there? seems simple.
house is by far the best choice too.

The guys I would stay with have their own cars but play slightly different schedules to me or even if the same schedule maybe they have a day 2 slightly earlier or late. Having uber now is just amazing in terms of efficiency and also price is very reasonable.
Banks give me the "oh so you're a gamblerrrrrr" and then they refuse to accept any kind of form of argument. This is Halifax anyway. Also with the greatest respect to Newcastle I think it's slightly different rocking up at a local branch and wanting money compared to going to a bank in London etc. nevertheless I won't be in the UK between then and now so it would be tough to do anyway.
I sent the file to a friend this morning and he will buy all the action and give me cash in Vegas he said so that's good news!

I've never ever had a football injury in my life. Always thought whenever people said they were injured that it couldn't be that bad and they were probably just soft.
After 1 mi the today I ether tore or severely pulled my hamstring. Very very sore.

Age with the footie injury mate, we were all immune to it when we were young..lol
Seriously consider taking a break somewhere in your schedule. Sooo many people get into a bad rut in Vegas and rarely play their A game

Think I just pulled it.
@vegas
Yes mate I agree but I think planning breaks is bad idea because you don't know when you need them. I'm actually pretty good at being lazy and procrastinating so if I need a day or two in bed watching house of cards I should just about be able to manage that.

How old are you now? I had exactly the same thoughts about injuries in cricket as I'd never missed a single game through injury till this season while all around me missed chunks. Was actually talking about it in the week leading up to the season then missed 6-7 weeks after tearing my Soleus in first game, then tore my hamstring later in the season as well... It's a pain in the arse!
