Back from Vegas for 3 weeks now
and my body clock has slowly but surely returned to normal.
Things have been, life in general I mean, not Poker. Only played a few times since coming back, one second, followed by a few 3rd level exits, following some (probably) horrible play from me.
Haven't played now for 8 days! Quite a long time for me, won't do me any harm tho, given the way I played the last three comps.
May play tomorrow, will have to contact the Royal Bank of Sicilidonk, to check I still have sufficent funds in my account, but it should be OK

Vegas seems to have been a turning point for me. As stated before, I had a great time, the best time ever in fact, and since returning, I have generally felt good. Going to work, doesn't seem quite the chore it used to feel, maybe cause it's been really busy, maybe cause the break done me good? Dunno which, but long may it continue.
I still dislike my job, if that makes sense, but maybe dislike it a bit less than I used to.
Still making plans for escaping, The Monday after I returned, I contaced the guy I spoke about earlier in the diary, about starting a new career. He seemed very positive, and keen to get me started, and will contat me, as soon as he can. Nothing as yet, though he did tell me there was a possibilty of a job this weekend, but it didn't happen. No problem, I will contact him next week, and the week after, and the week after that
If nothing comes of it, then at least he knows I'm keen, and I know I tried my best. In the meantime, I will be looking at other things. Still unsure what I can/want to do, but that's kind of fun sometimes.

While I remember, just so it's clear, as I'm getting a bit worried about it... I still owe some $$ from my Vegas staking.
Suuprlim $520
Tikay $520
McBink $260
I was due to sell my $$$ on Wednesday, but didn't get the call to confirm.
Have explained to all three that I don't have ££ atm, but am trying to change the $$, so I can pay them up.
To be fair, all three aren't worried, or moaning at me, but I like to be up front about these things.
In other news, I owe Sir Donks some ££ from Vegas. He has no fkin chance of getting it back soon, in fact, if anything, it will increase before it decreases. GG son x

My Dad went off to Malta on the 7th. He is there til the 31st August.
He asked me before he went, for about the 20th time, If I was planning on going this year, and I told him, for the about the 20th time, that I probably wouldn't. He knows why I have reservations about Malta, and he understands etc.
He left his card with me, in case i change my mind, and wanted to book a flight. Not the smartest move he has ever made in his 72 years, but a nice gesture all the same. So given that I feel good about stuff, I decided to take him up on his offer, and booked a flight for the 20th, returning on the same flight as him 11 days later.
I have spoken to him every day almost, since he left, and every day, he has mentioned something about when I come over. I think he is looking forward to it! He is organinsing a car for when I'm there, so I have no doubt he will have lots of driving lined up for me when I get there.
Spoke to Sighmuns, who lives out there, and gonna meet up with him and hopefully play some pokerz. He has found a 100 euro 6 max comp while i'm there, that looks great, and he seems keen that we intoduce Malta to the 'Corona & Sambuca' poker skillz. Seems like fun to me

With my Dad being away, I took the opportunity to catch up with a few people I hadn't really had the time to see before poker, due to me always going to see him for dinner etc.
Had dinner with Eso Kral at the G, swapped 10% with him, but he is fkin useless, don't know why I bother
I even lost the imaginary CCR for dinner. FML.
I sat there waffling about Malta, and telling him all about it, he then tells me, that he knows all this, as he is half Maltese! Known him a few years, mainly from a distance, but in the last year we have spoken a lot, and he never thought of mentioning this?
The following week, I stopped off at Dunstable Snooker & Pool Club. Unfortunately Turny was there
but in a way, this was good, as Charlotte had just turned up with their new daughter. It felt a bit strange to meet a Turnstill, that was quite happy to sit there quietly, and didn't want to have an argument
She was gorgeous, and they are very proud parents, and rightly so.
He isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I judge people on how they treat me, and have no problem with him. He does a mean hot-dog too, so I had 3. Any less, would have been rude.

Pizzled came round and sorted out my bathroom lighting during the week. Need to wear sunglasses in there now ffs. I had used the shaving light in there for a while, thinking that there was a major prob with the wiring or something. He very skillfully managed to get me light in there again. Apparently it's called 'changing the bulbs' Amazing.
Just the kitchen to sort out now Gav. Cheers.
