Ether that, or he was paying him a compliment and you thought he was taking the piss.

Richard what do you mean "you should be rolled to chase your own money"? If you aren't rolled to play 1 2 then that's what I meant by "can't afford it" so to all intents and purposes, the money has been taken out of play.
Learn something new everyday! I actually didn't realise the saying was 'intents and purposes'... not gonna embarrass myself saying what i thought it was. wp!
is it "to all intensive purposes"?! Just seen on Rob Yongs blog him say that.

Also notice the hand in question he squeezes 89dd on the button, and then somehow managed to checkraise the flop?!

Is it only me who doesn't find conversations about weather interesting? Got two taxis today, in both the driver insisted on talking about the weather the entire journey. Hairdressers are the same. I just don't understand it. Maybe appropriate when it snowed a ton, but even that got boring very quickly and dominated even more of my life. You'd watch the news and the Headlines, Sport, Traffic, News from your area, and of course the Weather sections would all be dominated by it. Was so tilting.
At least the second conversation was in Cambridge, slightly different climate to Nottingham, so all new stuff to talk about [ ].
Had a great evening at home with my Dad and brothers. Played the piano with my little brother, Dad cooked Steak and we played Hearts, Perudo and Worms after dinner. Proper boys evening, just like old times. Going to my Mum's tomorrow - it's her birthday next weekend so we're all getting together this weekend to celebrate as I'm in Germany next weekend. Seeing one of my oldest friends, Lottie, tomorrow night as well which is always great.
Bit bored now cos they've all gone to bed so I've got 4 hours to kill until I get tired, ne1 wanna play some HU or SNGs on stars? I have a homegame club which ppl could join and I'll set up a few tourneys or something.

+1. Sometimes. In moderation it's ok, I find discussing hands with friends a really great way to improve and bantering about other players is always fun, but listening to ppl tell you hand after hand, beat after beat is just so dry. I hate bumping into someone you don't really know and they instatell you a whole bunch of poker storys.
