Played in a really good and quite deep 1/2 game yesterday. Was a rele soft table as well except for Mitch. Managed to get 650 in pre with KQo lol vs Mitch who, in a really good squeezing spot woke up with Jacks. Don't really need to say who won the flip do I?
Also guess who found Aces with 10minutes to go with Florian basically calling off a grand pre with Q5clubs and someone else in for 300 with 89?!
Was a swingy session but decided the experience of playing in a big game would be good and was pleased to hold my own and win lots of pots but just lost the massive ones, QT vs T7ss allin on QTx ss and the big flip with mitch. Up £100 by the end of the night.
Going to see True Grit tonight, which I hear is really good. Probably going to stop by Gala on the way home for the final session of the month. Results to be published tonight!
Are you suggesting Mitch is a run good luckbox?
Mitch is viewing, I better run for asking that

Love how Alexander the meerkat leaves out the fact that Florian rivered 2 pair after getting it all in pre for a £2.2k pot in the hand he mentioned.
Sick rubs.

What do u mean 'how do you have aces there?'
it wasnt as if it was some sick raise, raise, raise then i find aces in a huge pot.
hes opened cut off for £15, button calls, i make it £75, he flats, button shoves for £150, I make it £400 and he basically says 'here have the rest' and puts 1k in.
It was an attempted donation, but turned out quite horribly.

Finished off the month with a great 50/1 session at Gala last night. This drunk guy turned up at like 4am - good news. £4 dbl straddle. I raise
UTG to £25, he calls UTG+1, the BB calls. Flop
check, I bet £75 he quickly calls with 60 behind. Turn
I put him all in, he calls. River
, he has
wiii. TYVM! Saw him tank fold the river with 92 on 8627A after someone moved allin and someone called. Don't think I played very well last night in fact, but ran good which is always nice. I've missed Gala, it's generally a lot of fun playing there. You get a lot of aggresive characters there, however. For example, there was a decent list for a 1/2 game so I suggested starting up a game, a player who'd I'd never met or spoken to, and who'd just moved to the table said really aggressively "you wanna play a real fuckin' game lets play 5/10 and all sit with a bag". Sorry for speaking.
Saw True Grit at the cinema, I really liked it, very different to films I usually enjoy. Thought Hailee Steinfeld was awesome, not quite sure why she got an oscar nominee as best supporting actress, she was clearly the main character. The Kings Speech is by far the best film I've seen all year though and deservedly won best picture at the Oscars, though I liked Inception better but I always love those sorts of films. Christopher Nolan films with Hans Zimmer soundtracks are the nuts (Dark Knight, Batman Begins - much love). Don't think I've ever seen a better performance by all the leading roles than in the King's Speech, it's a really powerful and moving film.
The months results to come...

. So it's actually been quite a good month resultswise - If I omit that 4k tourney bink in December, it's my best ever month. I have played LOADS this month though. Averaging 52hours a week and only took 2 days off the whole month. This is partly because next month I've got a few things planned like going home for a couple of days for my Mums birthday, going to Germany for like 4-5days to see Hannah and one or two other things that might mean time off. So really put the hours in this month which I'm pleased with. And I pleased that despite running bad for a lot of the month, I carried on playing and playing good and turned it around this last week.
Aims for next month
:
play about 130hours, get used to playing in bigger 1/2 games. Play/help get started lots of capped 1/2 games. Do a decent amount of
nonpoker stuff
. It's unrealistic to aim to run deep in a tournament, since I play about 6 a month, but a decent run in the deepstack would be nice of course.
Be a good boyfriend
Above all, I'm aiming to act with integrity, be
graceful
both in winning and losing and be a
model professional

once at dtd rob was getting berated by a guy telling him he was shit, broke and he'd play him HU for "any amount" rob ignores him then after 5mins says very calmly "do you want to play hu?" the guy says he will crush him at any stake. He casually goes to the cash desk gets £5k and sits down on an empty table smiling at the guy.
The gentleman in question left the building 10mins later. was fkin awesome
