If that is a man dealer quote then obv look for a BMW specialist locally - most cities have one - should sghave 20% off the quote if you are paying for it yourself

Probs best to take the hit than claim off the insurance then. Try an independent BMW specialist it will probs save you a few hundred quid and the standard of work will be good

Locking the stable door after the hores has bolted, but might I suggest you pop a pair of specs in the car for emergency use. You never know with lenses when you might get an annoying piece of grit under one and have to take them out.
You need to tell the insurers you've had a bump whether you claim or not btw. On which basis, it's probably better to just make the claim and get the job done properly.

Why's that? If you make a claim later in the current policy period and the assessor identifies that repairs have been carried out already they would have grounds to refuse to pay out. Pretty sure you'll find a reference to the need to notify them in your policy doduments. Also, because it is relevant to their assessment of the risk when they offer you a renewal quote. Standard question on insurance proposal forms "Have you had any accidents in the last x years?". Sucks, I know, but with the proliferation of dodgy whiplash claims the insurers are hotter on this stuff than maybe they were in the past.

Why's that? DO NOT DO THAT!!!!! It has the same effect as making a claim! Its not a new car - and it will never be an issue! Worst case scenario blame previous owners for any incident if this is ever a problem!

gonna sell more shares now. they've done really well this year too, up 10% over the year, which is really good considering its a vlow risk portfolio, was expecting 5-7% pa sort of returns, so pretty happy.
