DTD was sort of fun yesterday.

Our deal with K&K means that we have to play 150 comps for them too, so when 1st place doesn't get you out of MU, it's hard to motivate yourself. However, due to some free of charge counselling from the big dogs, and an incentive scheme they introduced for bowl freezeouts, I was raring to go for the DTD 6max yesterday afternoon.

Mitch still wanted a bit of extra incentive/sweat and proposed me and stato and him cross booked 10%, e.g I win it for 5k, they each pay me 500, so we're anti sweating each other which I thought would be great fun.

I lost every pot I played except getting owned by one guy who folded Qx on Q6466 when I had aces. He'd owned me previously in a spot I knew he had ace high and I bluffed the river but he called me down. He said he'd been following the monte Carlo updates so "had a good idea about by game"! Soul read.

Anyway I was out by level 4 and Mitch and Stato both had double average, sigh. Went home for some food, came back, very much hoping they'd both be struggling. Nope, both double average still, with 40 left. Marv! I sit at a cash game and stack Laurance Gosney in the first orbit, in a nice situation where Id 5b shipped AK for 400 effective, 3bettor folds queens, Laurance calls with JJ, board comes Qhigh, K on the river. Nut outcome.

Then Mitch wanders over, he's managed to do the lot because some dude was wearing sunglasses and it tilted him. Stato also down to 10bigs. Exhale. Stato busts a short while later and the sweat is over. Was definitely fun, even though I was negative free rolling the whole time basically.

Booked a decent win on cash to continue the good run this month.

Your pose in pic 3 is good mate...... but not as impressive as Mitch's, given the number of extra chins he is having to manage.

Booked a sick apartment for GUKPT Blackpool next month that Stato and I are gonna share.

Probably going to regret booking it for 6nights given the things I've heard about the blackpool, but should be a good value tournament with good side/cash action too.

At what level of poker do people start doing this? Obviously I need to get out of my get-there-get-paid-athon 50p/£1 games and just start 5betting people for jokes.

in my experience the kind of people you'd refer to as "pro:tards" think that "poker" is about two things, 1) being able to fold "big hands" and 2) being able to make thin calls when 'they know your at it'....

as such on a TTQ75 board they are actually more likely to fold AA the 78

Neil, you can only comment on tour photos when;

1) You actually come on tour

2) Your missus lets you

3) You have done the ironing
