The game last night was 2/5 and I never win at 2/5. Felt like I was going to win last night though.
My feelings don't seem to correlate with results very much these days, unfortunately, and alas I lost 1500 in the game. Was in for 3k, was getting pretty brutal at one point, but rescued some back so it wasn't a disaster night. Tried to bluff Kurt off a pair of fives with a £240 turn barrel which I would've thought would work a decent amount of the time, since a pair of fives is not high up the hand ranking chart. Alas, he had a flush draw to go with his pair, rendering his equity fairly high, depsite his weak made hand. He shoved the turn over my turn barrel, which disappointed me - I was quite looking forward to shoving the river for £700 because it would've been pretty exciting and I was pretty confident it was getting through. Had two overs and gutshot vs his actual hand so if he'd called I could've won the hand in a few ways. Sigh.
Also missed a huge draw vs Mitch with
vs his 99 on
, I bet the turn £385 but that wasn't enough to get him off his 99. He incredibly wisely "put me on Ace King" apparently so I think I made a good check/giveup on the river. Sigh@ not getting there.
Anyway, hoping to stop the 2/5 rot and actually win in that game sometime soon.
In other news, I'm really worried about my cat holly who's been missing since 9am yesterday
Have grown really attached to her over the last few months and I'd be devastated if she didn't come home
Off to make myself some cereal and then head to DTD for 6max fun now.

Mitch is driving atm, but says he is disappointed you are continuing the lie about having
. Rumour has it you had one club and everyone saw. Ul not hitting the pair draw though!

I went to DTD for 2pm for the £250 6max. I'm double or treble average ever since the first break, absolutely crushed it and busted in the most tilting fashion. One of those hands Guy was talking about, where you set him up for this hand, induce him to do everything you want and then he gets there. This guy 5xs the button, and I made a huge 3bet with Jacks knowing he wasn't folding. He called for almost half his stack, and the flop came a lovely 953r, I bet 1/5 pot knowing he was gonna spas out and he did, he shoved with AQ and he rivered a Queen. Honestly can't remember being more annoyed at busting a tournament! Seriously, I've bust 1ks (seriously!) or had horrible beats in £500s and not cared half as much as I did about this. Like I was saying earlier, it's not the size of the tournament or pot -
it's the way it happens!
That was for a 2.5x average stack with 40 left, and 10k ftw. The field was really soft as well, plus I was really enjoying the 6max format and just felt so comfortable and in the zone. Very annoying.
I decide I'm too tilted to play cash and I'm just gonna head home...
Then I see the doncaster lads.
Remember this from a few weeks ago?

Was in the most unbelievable game tonight. I've never seen someone pile in hundreds of pounds every single hand barely looking at their cards, and it wasn't just Mitch doing it tonight.
The Doncaster lads were back, and the game was insane. The right people got tilted and there was so much action. Frustratingly I went really card dead at the time it was being raised blind to 50/100/150 and this guy was giving away thousands.
They were back tonight...and oh it was incredible. Best game ever.
Made some hands this time, and with those boys - hands + holding up = money on the titties.
My hands weren't that interesting, AA vs KK vs Keys for £1200 T7hh vs A9 allin on 982h turn a heart, river the straight for £800. AK vs KQ on KJ9KA - standard coolers/run good in my favour - makes a f***** g nice change from the usual shit that happens to me on the 2/5 game! [X] moaned it in!
The hands that some of the others got into were just mind boggling. There's too many to list so I'll just pick out my favourite. I wasn't in the hand, so I may get some of the details wrong....
Donny lad #1 limps, Donny lad #2 raises, Keith 3bets TT to £60, Leicesterfish cold calls in the bb, both Donny lads calls.
Flop is
. Leicester fish open shoves for about £350 into £250 odd. Donny lad #1 folds, Donny lad #2 calls. Keith sigh folds.
Turn is the
, river
.
Both give it the "you must win" look. Leicester fish says "I've missed my flush". (Eh? we all think, the flush got there?!) Donny lad says "me too I've got nothing...Queen high". Leicester fish says "you're good". He shows
. Donny lads scoops with
. Unbelievable!
The donny lads went home at 1 and the game died, I booked a 2900 win, which sounds like a lot, but when I left, Keith was winning 9k! We'd been playing for about 4 hours so roughly 120 hands, and Keith had won 18 buyins in that time.
He was winning a buyin almost every 6 hands!
~ a grand every 1.5 orbits! The man was unreal tonight
So I'm really happy to have had a 2.9k win today, it's a nice boost. But I'm really really upset about Holly, think it's very unlikely she's still alive

My cat went missing for like three months, for the reason Woodsey states, then just returned one day. Hope she's ok, and congrats on winning.

was this seat one Alex?
i almost certain it was by the way your describing it, he used to play leicester gala i think he self barred himself cos he was losing so much !
i remeber one hand at gala (1/2) where he called an allin for £350 pre flop and proudly anounced his one pair on the river and flips 7-4 for a pair of
nice win.... and i hope the cat turns up soon

That 1010 hand I 3 bet to 150 and Leicester fish peeled from a 500 stack. Goes 4 way to a flop (pot 600) and he decides nobody could have possibly hit an ak4 flop and donk leads 350. Was pretty relieved when Jamie called before me - at least then I could then fold my 10's knowing they were no good............
His comment of missing his flush was live poker comedy gold.
Weirdly he left about 1ish? Then reappeared at 4 am to pick up a large pack of salt and vinegar crisps from the table - he just looked at me shook his head and said " 3 fekking grand pack of crisps these are!" then left. truly bizarre.
