V. disappointing post imo. Was expecting thoughts on Thewy folding AK preflop yesterday or at the very least some commentary on Alex's bankroll situation but this is almost convivial.

lol was just a general term Getting a job sounds like a hilariously terrible idea. In the short term you'll likely struggle to get a job that would make it worth it (more a reflection on the job market than your qualifiactions obv). Even if you just played $20 HUSNGs ridic overrolled your hourly on a site with a good rakeback deal would beat your wage. Your hourly rate at poker isn't going to be subject to wild fluctuations in the long run as long as you're playing well. Obviously downswings happen but you wouldn't have to play too overrolled to be able to dodge these playing a reasonably low variance game like HUSNGs/HU Cash. We're not talking about MTTs here. As long as you're making the time to improve and play a lot you're a big favourite to get where you want to be. Playing a few hours a day and kicking back the rest of the time isn't gunna get it done though so the word for today is not JOB its VOLUME Edit: but yeah don't play 100nl with a £3k life roll. Thats just silly innit Yeah but like this it means he will never be in a position to get a job right?

he's a bright kid, he knows not working now has a slight neg impact on his future employability,
so he gets a job now, doesn't like it, all he wants to do is play cards so his work performance is average he is enjoying life less, making poor money and doesn't even get to give poker a go.
He doesn't want a job, not having one and failing is better than having one in this spot
/ job talk imo
