Really good night at DTD tonight. Played a bit of everything, some 1/2, some DC and even made my first appearance in the VIP room for a 2/5 game.

It was a great buzz. I sat with 1k, and within half an hour was 5betting Mitch to 375 with ! Other than that, hit a few flops and ended up +900. The game was goodish - 6 handed with Kurt, an chap called Imran, Keys, Mitch and Rob Yong. Won 500 on the 1/2 after the game broke playing in 4handed with Mitch and two big fish so a 1.4k night - very nice Smiley

I've seen in the past Rob challenge people to 1k heads up matches, often giving 3:2 or even 2:1. I wanted the challenge, the experience, as well as thinking it there was reasonable chance it was +ev@3:2, so I challenged him. He warned me of his record (an impressive 37wins, 6losses) and told me I wouldnt be able to play my natural game for 1k. So we agreed on my £500 for his £750 to be arranged. Watch this space...

Alex... Having been reading your blog for a while but only just had a chance to sign up. Think your honesty on your blog is great and congrats on the MC win, good to see someone who deserves it ship something big.

Good luck V Rob.

Nice to see Rob is looking out for ya mate. 1K is definitely (obviously) out of your roll and watching you spunk it all off would not be cool.

Disagree with this. Dmorgan is the man to ask but 40buyins is enough for headsup sngs. And since it's a complete one-off its not like I could go broke playing them.

Getting 3:2 on a HU sng 40 buyins has got to be more than enough!

have to agree with you on this 1 alex. i also play hu sit n gos online on a reg basis and imo 40 buyins is ok esp when its only gona be a 1 of game anyway. i play with a 70 buyin bankroll and drop stakes when i reach around 65ish. but to me this is to good an opp to miss out on.

Nah Rob's really good - he puts you in all sorts of horrible spots and keeps the pressure on 100%. Horrible player to be oop to and it's going to be very tough.
