Have to give a special mention to Kurt in this post. Kurt has been a reg at DTD for as long as I can remember. Reputation for being very solid, plays strong hands, nothing fancy, always has it - you get the idea. This reputation has led to many a frustrated river fold or preflop laydown in the past from myself and the other regs. He's also a super nice guy and sometimes will even tell you what he has during a hand if you ask him and he likes you.

Tonight we play the following hand. Kurt raises he button on my straddle to £15, Mitch flats in the bb and I squeeze to £65 with  , both call.

  Two Diamonds check check check

check, I bet £85, Kurt calls, Mitch calls

Mitch leads for £225, I know what Mitch is doing here, I fairly happily call. As soon as I don't get a snap fold from Kurt I'm starting to hate life. He goes deep into the tank and counts out a raise. I don't remember how much it was, in the region of 500 i think. I'm hazy because as soon as it crosses the line, Mitch throws his cards in frustration into the muck, and I echo this frustration and do the same instantly.

"Would be sick to show the bluff here is it" Frankie says and sure enough, he reveals the Q9 offsuit!

Was stunned and amazed. Is this what 3 years of being a rock has built up to? Much respect to Kurt for this play, what a boss!

Was great having Frankie there to watch it [ ], he goes and tells the entire club how Kurt bluffed me and Mitch and we get ridiculed. I bowed my head in shame and stared down at my iPad which had become very interesting all of a sudden...

SORRY alex and mitch.

when u watching u can really c that kurt was bluffung but when u playing u always got f**K.

its funny when i saw mitch threw away the cards and alex staring at mitch like hes gonna killed him.

wp kurt .. u the legend.

REMINDER dont bluff 2 much . they r watching u.

lol frankie you are so funny....almost as funny as wadey losing h/u for the £1k hi roller seat...his opponent did not want it and said he could have it for £400 or 40%....wadey said he would let him have 15% because it was a hi roller and that he would be the favourite over most of the field. wadey aipf with A rag into AA....well to be fair the rag was a king Smiley

Pretty ridic night on the 1/2, knackered so proper report tomorrow, teaser cliffs as follows

- did brains, double up pretty much the entire table at least once, in for 2k
- get stacked, wasn't gonna reload, mitch owed me £30 so gave it me in chips, went on a "disciplined" spin up...

No lies or angle-shooting to report on. Well, no lies, made a questionable bit of speech play, you can all judge me and we'll see who thinks it's ethical. Night night x

seeing as i cant sleep and ive just typed it out, here's the speech play extravaganza

[10:12:08] alex.goulder1: right last hand of night, £8 straddle I raise the cutoff to £25 with A8spades
[10:12:16] alex.goulder1: button has £250
[10:12:34] alex.goulder1: he's tanking, sort of looks like he might just stick it in
[10:12:53] alex.goulder1: obv i didnt really want that, and also wanted to discourage the others in the pot from 3betting me
[10:13:01] alex.goulder1: so i told him "i'll give you a spin"
[10:13:12] alex.goulder1: to make out i had a really big hand
[10:13:21] alex.goulder1: then he shoved and i folded lol
