Sounds totally out of character to be honest, mustve been tilted by my AJ suckout Cheesy

He was a total douche to me the next day. (In corny american accent) "that's the only way ya gonna stack me kid. Put yr money in 15% again kid let's do that a thousand more times".

Then he called the clock on me during a hand after only a minute or so, and after the hand he said "that was for last night".

His hand trembles at all times fwiw. You don't need a live read with him anyway. If he's betting, he's got it.

The amount of times I see people 5 bet shoving on someone trembling like a shitting dog is unbelievable. They then say something about it being a cooler and how the hell does he wake up with aces there after I have played perfect poker all day. Smiley

Ive always suspected I was cool, now you've just confirmed it! As a reward ill defend you about big Mike.  Heres a hand i played with him later that night:

Mike limps UTG, i raise to 30 with  .
Flop is  - I bet 50 mike raises to 150, I call.
Turn is  .  Mike bets 300 with about 400 back.   Now im thinking Urghh i cant possibly be good here versus his range - also his hand was trembling when he bet - a sure fire sign he was strong.
Then i thought hang on a sec i have two pair here and that ranks quite high up the hand rankings chart so i shoved.  Mike snapped (sigh!)
The river was  .  (super sigh).  Mike tables  for a split pot!

So don't feel too bad about the AJ play and dont let the carrot topped chubby funster from Derby get you down.

You cheeky little silver haired accountant from West Bridgeford!

For starters, he was tilting his balls off from that hand with Alex, non stop muttering endless shit in Italian under his breath for about 2 hours. Something about cornettos and mamma mia. Deffo out of character to even call a raise with his hand there.

Secondly, 'Mike Caro', the guy has severe arthritis, hes always shaking. Excellent awareness.

Anyway, havent you got a gig as a Fabrizio Ravanelli lookalike to go to tonight? JOG ON. xxxx

The calling the clock was bang out of order. From memory there was a £300 bet on the river into a pot of about £450 where you had a decision to make against a player that quite literally could have anything.

It made me think after if there should be an official rule in LIVE PLAY that forbids a player not involved in a hand calling a clock?

In tourneys short stacks that are playing against the clock might have a need to keep the game moving, but that is just not the case in cash poker. I think a minimum 5 minute rule should be in place at a dealers discretion. Felt the dealer was in a difficult position and was little flustered/embarrassed about having to call the floor.

The clock can be called after a 'reasonable amount of time'. How long had gone before he called the clock?

I also think it's wrong for a player who isn't in the hand to call the clock in a cash game.  Doesn't this Mike leave his seat unattended for ages, then comes back and plays a few hands and then buggers off again?
