Pretty strange day yesterday. Grinded the sundays pretty hard, ran pretty awfully and lost about $2k. Then went down to rail PJ and play some cash at DTD. Have been really broken up about Hannah recently and yesterday was the worst - got to the point that no matter how much PJ won it wasn't going to make me any happier, so when he bust in 6th for £4k I didn't care in the slightest. Also won £1.1k in the cash game, and it didn't make me any happier. I must've been sat at the table for 20 minutes total because I was railing PJ a lot. Just won 2 allins pre vs Mitch and Walster for a monkey each and it didn't bother me at all whether I won or lost. Strange feelings.

It's pretty good though because I was worried following another horrible email from my Granny that I cared about poker and money more than love and relationships, and I know now that that is not true. I'd way rather be potless and happy than rich and miserable. I'm trying hard to be rich and happy right now though! I think I've done the right thing in the long run. It just really sucks right now. My Granny was questioning whether I still wanted those things that she knew I once did - a loving family, kids etc. She questioned whether I still loved my music and things like travelling and even tiny things like my cat / kittens. She thinks I've thrown them away and there's nothing "normal" in my life anymore. Hannah was brilliant at keeping me on my feet and she was a great touch with reality, I agree. And I think having a girlfriend or wife out of the poker world is important.  

Colombia could not be coming at a better time. I think it's going to be great for me. And winning over £20k in the week leading up to it means I can be way more relaxed about money, I won't bother about grinding if I don't feel like it, can live like a king over there and just enjoy myself. Really looking forward to it.

Sorry to hear this Alex, fwiw I agree with the being happy rather than filthy rich and unhappy. They say money does not buy you happiness, which I do agree with, however what it does do is give you lot's of freedom to do what you want, when you want as you clearly stated about the Columbia thing etc.

I think it's a great idea you are off traveling, it will be good for your soul, and will be good to meet lots fo different people and see first hand how other cultures live.

Seems like you have a good group of friends, that's good to have too, enjoy your holiday, chill out play a bit of poker and just gain a great experience to your life.

I posted on here a year ago mates are for life chicks come and go.  Relationships don't often work a second time round but if you are feeling so down why not take Hannah with you. The last thing you wanna do while feeling depressed is be in a foreign country on your own.

Relationships and life are something I really don't understand and it depresses me greatly sometimes. I really don't understand the meaning of life or what the point is. The majority of people seem unhappy for the majority of the time. However, in regards to your life, you have poker. You #lovethegame and love the job you do to earn money. This immediately improves 50% of your life. The friends i have who work generally find it somewhat tilting and don't really enjoy it, nevertheless they get on and make sure they do things they enjoy also. All I've worked out so far is to try and spend as much time as i can doing the things i love and being with the people that make me happy. As far as women go, its incredible what will happen. Your a young man with a significant lack of financial and time constraints, if you can't enjoy life, most people are fucked. Ever fancy a chat just send me a message mate, you seem to have a really solid group of friends who really would do anything for you, and I think when you have had time to get through the Hannah thing, you'll be happier than ever. I'd love to do what you do, and am doing my best to make sure I can someday, so be thankful, or dump me some stacks next time

If the above was  offensive just have the mods delete it. I have tried to remain friendly with every ex I ever had. If you are single then you can't beat sex with an ex...... If you need to talk to someone then just share a Becks with the ex.  If you rang Hannah she would probably give you the nut solution for dealing with your grandma too.
