Thanks for that Teeks. Somebody asked me recently what's the one place I want to go to next? I didn't really have an answer, which is weird, I've always had something in mind (was Colombia for a long time),
India and China
are obvious choices as big two I haven't been to yet, but for some reason I don't have a massive drive to go there.
St Petersburg is firmly at the top of the list now.
You're missing a trick here... TK is right about St.Petersburg being amazing, I went last year with work and loved it, all sorts of fun.
The Russian architecture really does stand out compared with other styles, very grand.
However Asia is somewhere you should not under-estimate. It is obviously a very large area of the world, but I'm a big fan and can't big it up enough. I've been to Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Myanmar, Brunei, China and a couple more and have loved every second of it.
Give me a shout if you're interested in some ideas, tips, suggestions.
Good luck with the Visa application, and enjoy Estonia - I went earlier this year and loved it!

I think I love the game! There's moments where I'm sure I do, and moments when I hate it. I'd be interested to ask my friends "who loves the game the most/least and rank our group". I genuinely think I'd be pretty high up.
There's definitely an element of just loving what it's done to my life - loving the lifestyle it's given me - I guess that's different from loving the game itself.
But remember this?!
Oh my god hahaha!!! After the love story in Latvia, I developed a slight man crush on you, yet after watching this I am now completely over you. Hahaha oh dear

Surprised none of you fancied St kitts? Any particular reason? I know numbers are way below initial expectation which is a shame

lol I thought I'd explained it... It's not that I can't say where I've been. It's just unwise to say where I'm going/ am at the time.
I do little more than mess around with computer systems, its not bond-work by any means but it does carry security implications and I would be foolish to disobey them.
You're more than welcome to ask anything about my past work and I'll happily spill all sorts of fun and ridiculous stories!

You ever been to Bristol station?
I'm at all into this architecture phiff phaff but my head was turned.
Pretty impressive stuff, looked more a cathedral than a station.

Half a day, that's all it took me to ruin Alex's wonderful Diary.
Next?
LOL, I thought I was posting in your diary when I asked the Bristol station question!
Sorry Alex.

Wow, superb.
Can we turn Alex's Diary into a sort of "Worldwide Train Station" Admiration Society?
I could Post loads of stuff here then......
PS - I do Bus Stations, & Airports, too.
It's the sort of thing I'd post in your diary if you had one.

Although not pleasing aesthetically, an utterly breathtaking station is Shinjuku Station in Tokyo - just because of its scale and the crowds. One of the biggest and busiest stations in the world I think, and I once said I'd meet someone there near the exit. Neither of us had realised just how many exists there were, and how bloody enormous the place is. It was just before mobile phones were ubiquitous and that meant that simple solution wasn't available to us. Took well over an hour to find each other.

Alex, you should add Japan to your list of places to visit. I'd highly recommend it.

I have not mastered uploading pictures but the railway station at Milan is a masterpiece of what I think is referred to as 'Nazi Architecture'. I am sure Tikay will rescue the situation with some uploads.
Another post nearer.

First he's after Jesse May's job. Now he's after Kevin Macloud's...
