Krakow trip report.
We spent 3 full days there, it's a lovely city - doesn't quite grab me in the same way that Prague or Tallinn does (but they are really two of my favourite cities in the world) but nonetheless is still a really nice place to spend a few days. The food was amazing, ate two great meals everyday in lovely restaurants. Had local Polish food which was great, tried a Georgian place which was also great, and also a French place where I tried snails for the first time and really enjoyed them!
The main thing I'd like to talk about is Auschwitz. Far more poignant and elegant pieces have been written about this place, I feel like I can't do it justice so I won't write much, but I really think it's one of the few places in the world, that you really
have
to visit. Obviously in a totally different way to how you "have" to see the Pyraminds, or Machu Pichu, just because you have no idea how it'll capture you attention and really shake you. I'm not big on history at all, I'm bored by a lot of things that your average person finds interesting. I don't do museums or anything like that, but standing in the place where some of the most horrific acts in the history of mankind have taken place is really quite something and it totally captured my full attention, which is pretty hard to do. It's really hard to describe - no adjectives are suitable. I didn't enjoy it at all, I don't want to go back ever, but I am so glad I went, and it's really something you have to experience at some point in your life.

Have you purchased an Estonian phrase book yet?
How many words has she currently taught you?
